Internship ING Pensionfund

Please note: for this internship role it is mandatory to speak Dutch fluently.

The ING Pension Fund (PFI) has the vision that it strives for a stable pension for its (former) participants and pensioners, whereby the Fund gives socially responsible substance to its investment portfolio. The Fund uses external asset managers for this purpose. These asset managers have the task of achieving the specified (return) objectives within the agreed investment restrictions. Since the Fund is always ultimately responsible, the Fund has a directing function with regard to the external asset managers. The Fund is about to develop a new management control framework whereby external asset managers can be monitored and evaluated in a uniform manner.

The team
You will be working in the asset management team of the Fund. This team consist of 9 professionals that manages the Fund investments on a daily basis. The team works closely with the custodian as well as with the external asset managers.

Prerequisites
• Applicants will need to be EU nationals 
• Applicants need to be registered as a student with an educational institution for the full duration of the internship
• Applicants need to be available for 32 hours for the full duration of the internship

Roles and responsibilities
The graduate is asked to give an advice on how the available data, using data science and the deployment of new technologies (such as AI), can contribute to the new management control framework. Additionally, the graduate is asked to give an advice on how the results of that new management control framework can be presented.

Who we are looking for
•    You have relevant basic knowledge and skill regarding Artificial Intelligence and data science from your education. 
•    Working on obtaining your a bachelor’s degree in the direction of Finance & Control.
•    As we are a Dutch Pension Fund the graduate needs to be a native Dutch speaker
