Your role & work environment

The IT Integrator of the IT Risk & Cybersecurity chapter is a key player in the cooperation between IT, Risk, and all stakeholders. You drive to make complex IT Risk & Cybersecurity happen within and across Tribes. Your holistic view as well as your knowledge of Business, IT and Security are crucial in the translation of standards and requirements in a sequence that delivers security and compliancy as maximum as possible. You define and align the roadmaps between squads from the same or different Tribe(s) – and other parts of the organization - and thoroughly manage dependencies and drive the plan and planning.

You will be part of an IT Risk & Cybersecurity Chapter with IT Risk Engineers and other IT Integrators, working for multiple WB Tech tribes, including Cross Products Services, Customers and Channels, Lending Services and Transaction Services, situated mostly in Amsterdam and Brussels, while the full IT Risk & Cybersecurity chapter is in India, Netherlands, Philippines, and Romania.

Your key responsibilities

 Making things happen by collaboration

  • You drive and ensure delivery (planning, reporting, coordination, dependencies management) and you identify and manage risks and potential issues and offer improvements across teams.
  • You are comfortable with collaboration and reaching out across Tribes and functional borders and serve as liaison when needed. You easily connect and align stakeholders within all levels of the ING organization, from IT Lead to IT engineer, from business Asset Owner to Product Owner and from 1st and 2nd Line to 3rd Line of Defence and external auditors.
  • You can implement security in an end-to-end context covering all aspects in close collaboration with multiple teams, including IT infrastructure. Therefore, you demonstrate understanding of IT concepts and have significant knowledge of the IT landscape and the Security marketplace. In close collaboration with all stakeholders, you make concepts and designs actionable. You guide and challenge IT Leads, IT Area Leads, Chapter Leads, Product Owners and engineers when making security and compliancy choices.

Breakdown MS and PCS requirements into solutions and features and plan them into roadmaps

  • You develop and plan features in an iterative way, aligned with the delivery heartbeat of the squads within your domains. You give support to the risk team and devops squads during execution and help solving impediments.
  • You are able to translate new standards and service needs into required IT controls and IT evidences.  You think and act globally and support locally.
  • You follow the market and know what is going on both inside and outside ING. From your understanding of the latest developments in the IT Technology and security, you propose structural improvements aimed at moving your domain - processes and applications - closer to target solutions next level security to offer  a safe and continuous customer experience.

How to succeed

As an IT Integrator you will need:

  • Excellent problem solving skills to find creative ways of driving progress and removing impediments
  • Analytic skills for aligning end-to-end solutions
  • Extensive experience in IT as an (agile) project manager in a complex and challenging IT environment
  • The ability to provide insight in highly complex situations by translating them into a digestible format to be presented to your stakeholders.
  • The ability to easily switch between details and a high-level overview.
  • A master degree in IT (Engineering) or equal by experience
  • Experience in ING and/or financial industry (preferred)
  • Experience with the agile way of working
  • A team player mindset, with a 'make it happen' mentality, eager to learn and the ability to coach others
  • Strong communication skills (in Dutch and/or English) and strong presentation skills (telling – selling) across different skill and seniority levels
