Structured Products Trader (Associate or VP)

Job Description

Department Overview:

Structured Product Group - Financing’s mandate is to create, structure and trade products for ING clients' asset financing requirements. The group is also responsible for all trade documentation and bookings.

Key products are Total Return Swaps, One Legged Swaps and Repo on less liquid assets. Underlying assets are Bonds and Loans, ABS and SPV repack Notes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:

Structuring, pricing and execution of structured deals & solutions required by financial institutions in collaboration with other structuring colleagues, FI Account Managers and the global sales teams.

Coordinating the execution process across multiple desks, from sales to trading, legal and other internal functions, as well as interface with our clients.

Working with legal, risk management, tax and middle office teams to avoid issues in an operationally complex market with numerous regulatory constraints.

Following-up on regulatory evolutions and analyse their impact in the business.

Generating ideas and opportunities for new and existing clients through research, financial modelling and industry analysis.

Ensuring trades and books are properly monitored and managed with accurate risk capture and pnl report. This would include monitoring cash flows, triggers and approval conditions.

Establishing/maintaining regular contact with the sales desks, relationship managers and other ING businesses with a view to identifying business opportunities and enhancing Structured Products business with them

Career Potential

This is a mid level position for professionals with over 3-5 years experience in banking with exposure to financial markets and a good track record of independently structuring and executing deals.
