UK Culture & Community

Life at Moorgate

Our vibrant employee community provides opportunities to build connections, make a difference and participate in life beyond work through charity initiatives, networks, forums and social clubs.

Charity & Giving

At ING UK, we are committed to making a positive difference in the communities where we live and work. Employees have opportunities to support charitable causes through fundraising, volunteering and giving.

  • UK Charity Committee: The Charity Committee leads our fundraising and volunteering activities in the UK and supports our chosen charity partners.
  • Volunteering: Permanent employees are given one paid volunteering day each year to support charitable and community initiatives.
  • Matched Giving: ING will match up to £2,000 per year for permanent employees who raise funds for UK-registered charities.
  • Payroll Giving: Employees can make tax-efficient charitable donations directly through payroll, providing regular support to the causes they care about.

Forums & Networks

Participate in our communities and forums to get your voice heard and help to shape the ING experience.

  • Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (DIB) Forum: This is sponsored by Senior Management and is a voluntary, colleague-led community dedicated to making ING a place where everyone feels welcome and supported. Through its strategic focus on Inclusion, Mental Health and Social Mobility, the forum helps to shape and celebrate the rich diversity that makes our workplace so unique.
  • Employee Forum UK: This is a representative body that promotes open dialogue between colleagues and senior leadership, ensuring employee voices, ideas and feedback are represented across the business.
  • RING UK: This is an internal network targeted at employees at levels VP and below. It creates a platform for members to meet new and interesting people, develop their understanding of the bank and grow their networks across ING.

Sports & Social Clubs

Connect with colleagues, discover new interests and pursue your hobbies through our range of employee-led sports and social clubs, including:

  • Sports & wellbeing: Running, cycling, golf, sailing and Pilates
  • Social & cultural: Book, beer, wine, theatre and art clubs
  • Community: Education focused programmes such as Writing Partners, where colleagues exchange letters with local primary school children to help build confidence in reading and writing
