Dein Weg zur ING: Bewerbung Step-by-Step
Your application step-by-step

1. Online application

Found an interesting job? Great. We look forward to your application!

Please apply using our easy online application system.

What do we need from you?

Not much. A CV, references and some personal information will help us process your application as quickly as possible. A cover letter is not required – but you are welcome to attach one if you wish.

Why only online applications?

This way, your documents go directly to the right people, and we can protect your personal data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Application review

Once we receive your application, our experts will review it together with the appropriate department.

If we think you are a good match, you will be invited to an initial interview.

In the meantime, you will receive other emails from us, including a confirmation that we have received your application.

3. Getting to know each other

Learning more about each other

The process of getting to know each other is as unique as your application. We can learn more about each other through a video interview, an on-site office visit or a hybrid format. During the interview, you will learn more about your responsibilities and the team – and we will get you excited about working in an agile environment. Your interview partners from the relevant department will want to know what skills you bring to the table and where your strengths lie.

If necessary, we may arrange to meet with you again. That depends on the position you applied for, and the people involved. And because we are interested in your expertise, we may bring case studies or presentations to discuss with you.

By the way: in our entry-level programs, the first meeting is often with our colleagues from the HR Young Talents team. What would you like to know about us – about the job, the team or your responsibilities? And why did you choose this particular job offer? Tell us more, because we want to get to know you even better.

Follow-up interview(s)

So the first interview was successful? Great! Now your recruiter and the relevant department will conduct the next interview with you – again either online or on-site.

We want to learn more about you and tell you all about our culture.

What else is on your mind? This interview is your chance to ask any questions you may have.

4. Onboarding

Acceptance & contract offer

Congratulations, we think you’re a good fit! Do you think so too? We’re so glad to hear it! You will discuss your contract with your recruiter on the phone.

After the Works Council has approved it, it will be on its way to you.

All we need now is your signature.

Welcome to ING

At this point, we say “Hello” and welcome you to a check-in event. You can start your journey with ease and begin building key connections.

Shortly before your first day of work, we will send you all the relevant information by e-mail.

Over the next few days and weeks, you will experience many new things. Whether you start remotely or locally, your new colleagues are looking forward to meeting you and will be happy to help you.
