Ready for your first day?
Practical tips for a great start
We’re really looking forward to welcoming you to our team!
Hi there!
The moment is almost here, your first day at ING is quickly approaching! Are you excited? We certainly are! We’re really looking forward to welcoming you to our team.
To help you get off to a great start, we’ve put together a few practical tips:
📍 Location & Time
Not sure where to go or what time to arrive? Feel free to contact your manager—they’ll be happy to help.
🚆 Traveling to the Office
Coming by public transport? You can claim your travel expenses via our HR system (Workday). Driving instead? Ask your manager about the best parking options, as they vary by location.
💻 Access Pass & IT Equipment
Your access pass and laptop have already been ordered. Your manager or buddy (someone who will help you get to know ING during your first weeks) will assist you with collecting and setting everything up.
Are you transferring from another ING entity? Then you can use your current access pass. You may also be able to keep your laptop—please check with your manager.
🆔 Identification
Don’t forget to bring a valid ID (passport or ID card; driver’s license is not accepted). Security is a top priority at ING. You can request your access pass on your first day.
🔐 Access Rights
You’ll automatically receive access to essential tools like your mailbox, Teams, and Microsoft Office. If you need additional software or permissions, your manager can request them for you.
🤝 Welcome & Support
Your manager or buddy will help you feel at home and guide you through your new work environment. You’re definitely not alone!
🧡 Destination Orange
In your first weeks, you’ll be invited to a Destination Orange event—an interactive onboarding day where you’ll get to know ING better. You’ll learn about our culture, our way of working, and meet other (new) colleagues. It’s a day full of inspiration, connection, and fun!
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.
See you soon!
