Diversity Inclusion and Belonging ING Hubs Poland

Rainbow Lions

Its mission is to promote LGBTQI+ inclusivity and support. And it is not about acknowledgment of sexual orientation and gender identity. It is about standing with those who have been fighting tirelessly for their rights, ensuring acceptance, and a genuine sense of belonging.

Pride Parade and Marches

It is a fantastic opportunity for us to express solidarity with the LGBTQI+ community and show our commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace and celebrate joy and pride together!

Webinars and workshops

By meeting with external experts, we spread knowledge and awareness about LGTBQI+ across ING Hubs Poland. We also like spending time together, so we organise integration events such as watching films or light painting workshops.

Events and networking

We build relationships with non-profit organisations and other employee networks by participating in external events such as the Equality Crowns or Diamonds Awards. We inspire and seek inspiration.

Support Disability and Neurodiversity Group

The aim of this group is to break down barriers and build a more inclusive society where everyone can thrive. Supporting disabilities and neurodiversity is not just a checkbox exercise, it is a commitment to a transformative journey, and we are ready to start it.

Co-operation with HR process owners about neurodiversity and disability

We want to adjust our environment to different needs, so we review HR processes and prepare report with recommendation how to improve our company in terms of Disability and Neurodiversity needs.

Quiet Zone

Do you sometimes feel that the noise in the office is too much? We do too. That is why we have created quiet zones to reduce distractions such as drinking, eating, or talking and help you focus on your day-to-day work.

Walk in my shoes

It is a unique opportunity to step into someone else’s experience and gain a deeper understanding of their challenges. During this event, we had the chance to experience what it feels like to live without hearing, navigate the world without sight, or rely on a wheelchair for mobility. It’s a powerful way to build empathy and foster a culture of inclusion in our workplace.

Culture Group

Culture Group's aim is not only to break down stereotypes and cultural differences, but also to increase the cultural enrichment of all employees and the inclusion of foreign and Polish teammates.

Culture Day

The main goal of the Culture Day is the cultural enrichment of our employees. The event lets us present on a given country, region, city, or some other cultural topic. We can develop our presentation skills, learn about other cultures, and network between people working in different areas or even cities. At the end of each presentation there is a space for Q&A and a quiz, where attendees can test their knowledge on the subject to win a prize.

Book Club

It is an employee-driven initiative aimed at promoting the love of reading within our organisation and beyond. It serves as a platform where we can share book reviews, engage in both virtual and in-person discussions called Page Turners Meeting.

Tabletop Evenings

It is a bottom-up integration initiative to play boardgames with colleagues from work. It is a great excuse to come to the office to have some fun with colleagues after work, over some snacks and soft drinks. Tabletop games provide a learning and integration opportunity across all clusters and roles. They may not only help develop decision-making, logical reasoning and cooperation skills, but also learn about other cultures and languages.

Wo-men Equality Group

Wo-men Equality Group’s mission is to build the network of professionally active ING Hubs Poland employees acting on behalf equal social opportunities for all, regardless genders

Summer day camps for our young Lions

we know that summer vacation time can be a real challenge for working parents who need to take care of their children during breaks from school or kindergarten. This is why we organise and co-fund a day camps for the kids of our employees from 5 to 12 y.o.

MOCna Ja Academy

We take under our wings students and graduates who link their careers with technologies but not only. Together with the IT Girls Foundation, we invite participants to workshops focusing on topics such as confidence, courage, self-esteem, and mentoring sessions to work individually on specific goals. The MOCna Ja Academy is making a significant impact by empowering women in various fields.

ReStart

It is a mentoring programme dedicated to women who want to restart their career after a break. We organise inspiring workshops and mentoring sessions to help women learn how: search for a job, prepare for a job interview, present competences, and take care of work-life balance.

"Working at ING, I feel that my disability is not a limitation. With the support of the teams/groups and the appropriate workplace amenities, disability is not an obstacle for me. I feel taken care of and can realise my full professional potential. As a result, I am able to pursue projects and achieve my goals with full commitment."- Michał Kucharski, Global IT Security Cluster

“I came to Poland from Canada where I was an active ally and took part in various work-related and personal LGBTQ+ activities. When I started working for ING Hubs Poland, I was very happy to see the company supports Diversity and Equality initiatives, particularly through Rainbow Lions, and I can continue to support the same cause. At ING Hubs Poland I feel comfortable talking about issues that affect the LGBTQ+ community and the company supports different events in-and-outside the office.Urszula Dorosz Transaction Monitoring Cluster

“Joining the cultural club has been such a highlight for me (or us). It’s amazing to put together events that bring people together and share cool stories and traditions from around the world. Seeing everyone get excited, connect, and learn from each other makes it all so worth it.” Svetlana Li Business & Risk Solutions Cluster
