We are looking for a product manager / Customer Journey Expert willing to taking ownership and improving on our Payment Products with a primary focus on SEPA Direct Debits from a consumer’s perspective (Incasso).

Your department

In our department (tribe) Payment NL we work towards giving our customers the best and most seamless Payments customer journey possible. To realize this ambition, we are looking for a product manager (customer journey expert), who has knowledge of Payment Products and developing (mobile) features to improve on our Customer’s Experience and to fully digitize our product offering. You know how to convert this knowledge and experience into leading the development team into developing new or improved features from concept to production. ING Payments NL is one of the largest tribes within ING the Netherlands and mostly based in Amsterdam. The tribe entails all products and processes associated with Payments within ING the Netherlands servicing our 7 million customers every day.

Your team

Your team is a group of Customer Journey’s all in the “Paying” area of the Payments department. Each team member has their own scope of payment product(s) to work on varying from iDeal and Money Transfer to SEPA Direct Debits.   

You will work closely together with other ING departments, such as the risk parties, other tribes and ING Belgium amongst other stakeholders throughout the entire payments chain.

You are a team player, have excellent problem-solving ability and can drive projects from concept to execution. As our new Product Manager, you:

  • Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • Have knowledge of the Payment market
  • Understand customer needs and challenges
  • Have a commercial mindset and a drive to make impact
  • Can demonstrate experience in implementing innovations or propositions
  • Have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take decisions based on data and facts
  • Have solid interpersonal and collaborative skills to interact with different stakeholders
  • Are fluent in English (verbally and written)
  • Like to deep dive into the content to create the best products
  • Understand the need to comply with regulations and policies but dare to debate alternatives and challenge status quo
