If you want to work at a place where you will make an impact on developing ING Wholesale Banking’s (WBs) strategic service offerings, where we endorse a proper engineering culture, and where we believe that the sky is the limit to where we can be in the future, please read on.

ING Wholesale Banking TECH is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to join our Lending, CMA and SSG department to step into the IT Integrator role. ING’s goal is to enable people to “do their thing” and empower them to stay a step ahead in life and business. We are one of the largest banks in Europe and we are continuously evolving to become one of the most innovative companies in the banking sector using proven and art of the state technology.

The department is servicing three ING WB business departments:

  • Lending, being on a mission to become fully digitised and data-led, is enhancing the experience of our clients and our employees. Lending is the core of ING’s lifeline. Hence, also the driver in ING’s transformation journey.
  • Capital Market Advisory (CMA) is enhancing our ability to compete more effectively in clients' boardrooms for high-value fee and advisory services. We are also aligning our internal capabilities to accelerate capital velocity. CMA encompasses Corporate Finance, Global Capital Markets, Corporate Investments, Acquisition Finance, and the Loan Distribution Group.
  • Sustainable Solutions Group, enhancing sustainability efforts and delivering superior solutions to clients. This initiative consolidates various sustainability functions to drive systemic change and reinforce ING’s position as a sustainability leader.

In our urge to make complex business processes simple, reusing data, following the patterns it provides and predicting the investments we make in our clients, is key. We are tackling fundamental, high-impact solutions in the financial services industry. We are talking of game changers.

The team

Together with other IT Integrators, you form a Chapter with the purpose to improve continuously and extending our expertise and to coordinate the delivery of complex solutions going beyond the scope of a Product and Tribe.

IT Integrators work in close collaboration with internationally diversified Squads over the complete Lending, CMA, and SSG portfolio.

You will work within the SSG tribe. The purpose of the tribe is to deliver products for ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) that facilitate the overview of emissions and their intensity, client transition plans to a greener future and sector overview of all customers. You will work in this exciting organisation to deliver these products to meet the goals of the overall bank.

Roles and responsibilities

Wholesale Banking works by Agile principles in self-organising teams. Important aspects of this way of working are initiative, flexibility, continuous development, continuous improvement and active and positive collaboration with other teams. In other words, assignments for an IT Integrator are diverse and the role description is not always 100 percent clear; this is where your project management skills/experience come in; understand what is needed from you to facilitate squads, management and stakeholders in delivering overarching Themes/Epics/Features, so ... you take things on and make them happen!

Your key responsibilities:

  • Take responsibilities and accountabilities on the end-to-end feature journey – design and implementation
  • Ensure there are clear business requirements in cooperation with the Customer Journey Expert/IT Business Analyst.
  • Ensure the design is created by the Solution Architect and aligned with the Domain Architect.
  • Create Feature planning, establish cooperation across Squads and plan Feature delivery; herewith maintaining close relationship with (business) counterpart(s).
  • Review technical solution directions and technical dependencies drafted in the Epic in coordination with the Business Analyst, the Domain Architect and relevant Squad members, using in-depth IT/application knowledge.
  • Facilitate end-to-end testing, ensuring the delivered Feature works as designed and as per the business requirements.
  • You make sure all aspects of Non-Financial Risk and IT Security are met.
  • Have a cross-domain view and identify the needs and dependencies of stakeholders across Tribes or domains to enable business and IT in slicing Epics into Features.
  • Identify which Squads/Teams/specialists to involve in the Agile build cycle.
  • Challenge and advise Product Owners on Feature dependencies and priorities and backlog alignment of individual Squads.
