Retail Banking Analytics Data Science Chapter
This chapter provides machine learning expertise for developing lending, pricing, and personalization analytics. Based in Amsterdam, we are a team of 10+ highly skilled Data Scientists from diverse backgrounds such as physics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, econometrics, and astrophysics. We work in a creative and collaborative environment, sharing knowledge and supporting each other to deliver impactful projects. Our portfolio is broad and uses a wide range of algorithms and tools, all related to risk and pricing.

What you’ll do

  • Develop machine learning and advanced analytics solutions for specific business use cases.
  • Take a leading role in solution development and support medior and junior data scientists.
  • Actively engage with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and machine learning engineers to bring models into production.

Required Skills

  • At least 6 years of experience developing Machine Learning solutions, ideally in the private sector. Knowledge of lending, credit risk, and credit decision domains is a strong advantage.
  • Broad experience with end-to-end machine learning project implementation, including all steps from data extraction to modeling and deployment.
  • Proven track record of leading multiple data science projects.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and Spark. Hands-on experience with MS Azure DevOps and GCP is a strong plus.
  • Solid educational background in mathematics and statistics (Master’s degree or preferably Ph.D.).
  • Strong theoretical knowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning, with demonstrated ability to apply these to solve business problems and develop innovative models or data-driven products.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both technical and business contexts.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
