About the role

As aTalent, Learning & Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (DIB) Intern, you will play an active role in strengthening ING’s ambition to be an inclusive, learningcentred and peoplefocused organisation. You will contribute to strategic and operational initiatives aimed at attracting, developing and empowering talent across ING Netherlands.

We offer twotracks/focus areas

  • Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (DIB) Internship; You willmainlysupport the DIB strategy, community engagement, data insights, events, and the Unknown Talent Programme.

  • Learning & Leadership Internship; You willmainlysupport learning and leadership development initiatives, project coordination and strategic HR activities

Both tracks offer a unique opportunity to shape impactful programmes and gain hands‑on HR experience within a dynamic and international environment. 

TheTeam
You will join the DutchCentre of Expertise (CoE) for Talent, Learning & DIB.

  • As a DIB Intern, you work closely with theHead of Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging.

  • As a Learning & Leadership Intern, you collaborate with theHead of Growth & Careersand/or the Head of Talent Management,and the wider Talent, Learning & DIB community.

You will be part of an innovative, informal and collaborative team that values curiosity, creativity and personal growth.

Roles andresponsibilities
Your work will be a mix of strategic support and hands-on coordination. Key responsibilities include:

  • Explore best practices in learning and leadership development.Analyzeinternal data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

  • Data & Reporting: Help prepare impactful presentations and reports for senior leadership using data-driven insights.

  • Project Coordination: Support the planning and execution of learning programs, workshops, and leadership interventions.

  • Team Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with HR teams to ensure seamless delivery of initiatives. Bring your ideas to the table—we value fresh perspectives!

  • Event Support: Assist in organizing and facilitating training sessions, leadership events, and other learning experiences.

Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging Track

  • Data & Reporting: Help with thepreparation of internal and external DIB reports and presentationsfor regulatory bodies,Senior Management,certifications, audits, and assessments.

  • Project Coordination: Support the planning and execution ofevidence based, behavioral science informed DIBinterventions 

  • Inclusion in practice:support thedelivery ofING’sUnknown Talent program 

  • Event Support:Assist inorganizing and facilitating sessions and events forING’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)

Learning &LeadershipTrack

Research &Insights

  • Explore trends in learning, development, talent managementorleadership.

  • Analyse internal data to identify needs and opportunities.

Data & Reporting

  • Prepare compelling datadriven presentations and reports for senior leadership.

ProjectCoördination

  • Assist with the planning and delivery of learning programmes, workshops and leadership interventions.

TeamCollaboration

  • Work across HR teams to ensure smooth execution of initiatives.

  • Bring fresh ideas and creative perspectives to the table.

Event Support

  • Organise and facilitate leadership events, training sessions and learning experiences.

What You Will Learn

  • How a global financial institution operationalizes DIBand L&Tat a systemic level.

  • How regulatory and compliance frameworks shape corporate DIB and L&Tpractices in the Netherlands.

  • How to apply behavioural science to leadership and culture transformation.

  • How to communicate  insights and influence stakeholders

  • How to manage complex, cross-functional projects in a fast-paced, international environment.

  • You’re currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Psychology, Business, or a related field

  • You have a strong interest in learning and leadership development. 

  • You’re proactive, organized, and eager to learn

  • You have strong communication (English) and interpersonal skills

  • You’re comfortable working with data and digital tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • You’reaccurate and organized with an eye for detail

  • Youworkwellindependently and as part of a team.

  • You are available for a minimum of 6 months
