Trader Support | Equity Derivatives

Your role & work environment
Working within the Front Office Support team to provide Trader Support for the trading activity of Equity Derivatives desk.

In this role you work closely with the FM traders, sales and other business management teams. There is significant scope to expand product and process knowledge throughout the FM business.

Your key responsibilities

As Trader Support will be responsible for:

• Support the Trading & Sales desks with trade and event management bookings (includes fixings, expiry’s, cancellations, Dividends);
• Monitoring and Processing of Corporate Actions in Sophis;
• Calculation performance and bookings for Structured Products;
• Internal reporting;
• Perform various controls which would include reconciliations, daily checks of Bookings, pricing, static and dividends;
• Providing advice and assistance to Compliance, CAS and MRM;
• Manage ad hoc queries and information requests for the trading desks;
• Actively monitor the trade flows into downstream systems;
• Manage ad hoc queries from management, support and external stakeholders.

As Trader Support you will also need the following qualifications and competences:

Qualification/Education

• Experience in similar roles in a middle office, business management or operations role;
• Good base knowledge of Equities and Derivative instruments;
• Good analytical background;
• Strong level of IT skill in standard products – such as excel;
• Working understanding of etrading venues.
• ‘Can do’ attitude and positive mindset;
• Proactive behaviour and perpetual energy and drive to improve performance;
• Detail oriented;
• Self-Starter that can work independently, as well as in virtual teams.
• Educated to Degree level.
• Experience with market leading systems such as Bloomberg, Sophis, Summit & Murex.
