Your new role

The Tariffication squad brings together Customer Journey Experts, Technical Analysts and Developers, combining experienced colleagues and professionals. The squad owns every billing event within ING Belgium and sits at the crossroads of changes that affect millions of users.

Responsibilities
Design and continuously improve simple, transparent and flexible billing solutions, translating advanced business needs into customer-focused outcomes supported by data and strong stakeholder alignment.

A day in the life:

  • Ensure an excellent customer experience. Develop a deep understanding of the advanced needs of business partners and translate their expectations into a simple and transparent billing solution.
  • Be the expert. Work closely with stakeholders to become the subject matter expert, drive requested changes and use data insights to support decisions.
  • Shape the requirements. Take full ownership of defining the target solution, grounding choices in clear data and analytical evidence.
  • Work in an Agile way. Act as the right hand of the Squad Master (PO) in orchestrating the work of one or several squads to bring roadmap features and journeys into production.
  • Help prioritize the squad backlog, perform User Acceptance Testing, support releases and manage the features coordinated or delivered by the squad.
  • Lead by example. Navigate between squad priorities and delegate tasks efficiently to the right people.

This is a role with high visibility and exposure across ING. It offers the opportunity to interact with numerous stakeholders, apply a strong analytical and data-driven mindset, work independently and contribute directly to ING’s strategic goals.

How to succeed

We hire smart people for their potential. Our biggest expectation is that you stay curious, keep learning and take responsibility. In return, we will support you in becoming an even stronger version of yourself.

  • You are proactive, can lead initiatives and work autonomously.
  • You have excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills. You navigate complex policies, processes and organisational dynamics, bring people together around a shared purpose, and explain complex topics in an easy-to-understand way.
  • You can write clear business requirements and translate them into functional requirements for the team responsible for development.
  • You are willing to challenge the status quo. You ask the right questions to identify the most effective and efficient solution, supported by data-based arguments.
  • You understand the payments domain, including SCT and instant payments, SDD, statements, billing and tariffication, card payments, point-of-sale payments, wallets and subscriptions.
