We started out in 2015 as ING’s software development hub, then steadily expanded our range to include more services and competencies. Now we provide borderless services with bank-wide capabilities and 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: 𝐁𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐣-𝐍𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐜𝐚.

The Mission

You will be part of a mixed team, composed of backend engineers and analysts, located in Bucharest, working for Payments Tribe from ING Bank Germany. You will be responsible to maintain and develop frontend components for Payment flows used by bank's clients and by ING Bank Backoffice officers.

Your day to day

Even if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Here are your daily responsibilities:

  • Writing code in a JavaScript environment
  • Programming new applications and making changes in the existing ones
  • Translating functional analysis into technical analysis and developments, together with the parties involved
  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, creates and produces releases of software components using Azure DevOps
  • Cooperation with an agile, cross-functional squad in the area of daily banking & payments with a focus on new development and further advancement.
  • Independent implementation of design, coding and refactoring of complex tasks
  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders (departments, service providers, ING Group).
  • Definition and implementation of the necessary interfaces between the systems.
  • Internal IT testing of newly developed and modified IT applications including the creation of test documentation and test automation.
  • Designing digital documentation that is in compliance with regulatory requirements.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Experience: 3+ years
  • Tech stack/ knowledge:
    • Mandatory:
  • Excellent knowledge and several years of experience in html, CSS, JavaScript and at least in one modern framework such as react, angular, vue.js or similar
  • Working experience with web testing runners (e.g.: Mocha, Karma, Chai)
  • Have project experience and enjoy working in an agile environment
  • Deep understanding of how RESTful APIs are working
  • Experience with CI/CD
  • Open to new technologies and bring new ideas
  • Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of Java and Spring Boot
  • Experience with WebComponents (e.g.: Lit) and responsive design
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
  • Foreign languages: English (advanced), German (nice to have)
  • Education: nice to have Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an IT related field
