Formerly known as ING Tech, as of 2022 we provide borderless services with bank-wide capabilities under the name of ING Hubs Romania and operate from two locations: Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca.

With the help of over 1600 engineers, risk, and operations professionals, we offer 130 services in tech, non-financial risk & compliance, audit and retail operations to 24 ING units worldwide.

Our tech capabilities remain the core of our business, with more than 1300 colleagues active in Data Management, TouchPoint Channels & Integration, Core Banking, and Global Products.

The Mission

The mission of our team is to deliver qualitative software for ING Bank Romania. Combining the work of Feature Engineers and Developers, we deliver new functionalities and maintain the Core Banking System of the bank, in an agile way of working.

Your day to day

Even if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Here are your daily responsibilities:

• 1 Understand business requirements and together with the product owner, help the business owner to identify the underlying needs
• 2  Analyse internal processes and work with requesters to ensure the system correctly models their latest process
• 3 Design multiple technical solutions in collaboration with software architects and developers and choose the best one that serves the scope. Apart from offering a solution for the business needs, the design should consider aspects like: Core Banking Strategy, risks, non functional impact.
• 4 Translate the business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications and also make the necessary configurations by using Microsoft Azure.
• 5 Collaborate with developers during the programming phase
• 6 Ensure the quality of the software by defining and running specific manual and automated tests.
• 7 Perform Production Support with a certain recurrency. This means solving incidents raised by colleagues from different departments of the banks, escalate them when necessary, find root cause, document and take the necessary actions to avoid future recurrence.
• 8 Actively participate in SCRUM ceremonies: Refinement, Planning, Daily, Retrospectives.

What you’ll bring to the team

• Experience: 1-5 years
• Tech stack/ knowledge:
  • Mandatory:
    • Practical IT related knowledge (databases, operating systems, programming languages)
    • Knowledge of software development cycle
    • Strong analytical skills and logical thinking
    • Being customer focused and self organized

• Nice to have: Banking knowledge

• Foreign languages: English (advanced)
• Education: nice to have Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an IT related field
