Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred—ideally in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics; other disciplines may be considered with strong accounting knowledge.
  • Solid experience in people and departmental leadership within the wholesale or institutional credit domain, overseeing large organizations (>100 FTEs).
  • Experience in process migration in a global setting is an advantage.
  • Comfortable operating in a matrixed and global organization.

Main Responsibilities

  • Drive the functional strategic priorities of Lending, including credit model rollouts, organizational alignment, system architecture, and sourcing.
  • Oversee and review the analysis and evaluation of credit rating proposals from Lending Units using various credit tools, information, and documents, ensuring a holistic and well‑substantiated assessment of credit risk and mitigants for existing and prospective borrowers.
  • Ensure accurate assessment of credit risk ratings and classifications, with strict adherence to documentation standards and bank policies.
  • Guarantee high‑quality and timely completion of account renewals, evaluations of prospective borrowers, credit analyses, financial spreading, covenant monitoring, and other credit‑related requests and reports.
  • Lead, manage, and oversee the performance, operational output, and effectiveness of ING Hubs PH Global Lending Support, ensuring efficient workflows, high productivity, and consistent outcomes.
  • Establish clear goals and objectives for the department, providing strategic direction, coaching, and leadership across areas such as staff development, performance management, and recruitment.
  • Collaborate effectively with global cross‑functional departments across various front‑office lending locations, local hub domains requiring flexibility in work hours, ways of working, and organizational design.
  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for issues related to service levels (timeliness, accuracy, completeness) and capacity.
  • Drive continuous improvement by incorporating new policies and identifying opportunities to strengthen processes, mitigate risks, enhance technology and tooling, and elevate working practices.
  • Partner with both local and global leaders and functional counterparts on strategic and tactical priorities to strengthen and mature the credit capability in Manila.
  • Oversee audit‑related requirements in coordination with the bank’s audit function.
