What does the Corporate Sector Lending Team do in ING?

We support the Corporate Sector Clients team in the end-to-end execution of lending transactions and manage a loan portfolio spanning multiple countries and industries.

What would you be doing?

As an intern, you will gain exposure to the full lifecycle of corporate lending transactions, from credit assessment and deal execution to ongoing portfolio management and monitoring.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support us in preparing financial analysis, including financial table, business profile,  industry and peer analysis, of the obligors in our transactions.

  • Input financial information, and to perform ratings on our proprietary systems.

  • Portfolio management including preparing overdue credit and rating reports, overdue covenant reports, and other ad hoc reports.

  • Updating and building financial models.

What qualities, skills and other criteria are we looking for?

We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria: 

  • You should have legal work rights in the country of internship.

  • Proficiency in excel, powerpoint and word.

  • Strong analytical and financial skills, and able to update and build financial models.

  • Knowledge of accounting would be very helpful.

  • Ability to multitask on different assignments / projects.

  • Must possess a ‘hands-on’, ‘can do’ mentality.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, strong team player.

What would you gain from this internship?

Build up your analytical and credit skills, and judgement on how to look at credit and structure risk.  Improve your interpersonal skills as we liase with different internal and external stake holders, and an opportunity to work in a fast paced environment with live deals.
