Job Description

  • Manage day-to-day regulatory and compliance matters as they arise.
  • Receive, interpret, and disseminate regulatory requirements, and ensure timely implementation and completion of related actions.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support regulatory supervision, surveys, consultations, and provide timely responses to regulators.
  • Prepare for and support regulatory-related meetings.
  • Draft, review, and submit regulatory reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide advisory support to business and operations on regulatory and compliance matters.
  • Guide and support the business in implementing changes required by new or updated regulations.
  • Assist in the implementation of global and local policies and procedures.
  • Conduct compliance monitoring of designated business activities and perform periodic reviews.
  • Plan and deliver compliance induction and role-specific compliance training programs.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities as required.
  • Engage stakeholders to promote a strong data protection culture, and provide guidance on privacy-by-design and new initiatives.
  • Participate in team job rotations where required.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Head of Compliance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a risk or control function (e.g., compliance, legal, audit, or risk management).
  • Proven experience engaging with local regulatory authorities.
  • Solid knowledge of local banking regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, with the ability to balance firmness with flexibility.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to work independently, think proactively, and take ownership and accountability.
