Are you looking for an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an international banking environment and learn how large multinational clients are onboarded to ING? We are currently looking for a motivated and eager-to-learn intern to join our Global Client Implementation Management (GIM) team. This role is ideal for a student who is highly proactive, organised, and enjoys taking ownership. You are someone who has a strong "can-do" attitude, is not afraid to take initiative, and thrives in a fast-paced international environment.

At ING, GIM acts as the bridge between Sales, Product Management, Client Services, and Corporate Clients during the implementation and onboarding of complex Transaction Services solutions. As an intern, you will become part of an international team responsible for coordinating complex onboarding projects from deal signing through to successful implementation and client handover. You will work closely with experienced Global Implementation Managers and gain insight into how large-scale corporate implementation projects are managed across multiple countries and stakeholders.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to experience how ING helps multinational clients implement cash management transaction banking solutions.

What will you do?

As part of the GIM team, you will support implementation managers with project coordination, operational activities, and continuous (AI) improvement initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting Global Implementation Managers in the coordination of client onboarding and implementation projects.
• Following up on project actions and ensuring timely completion of agreed activities.
• Preparing and maintaining project tracking tools, reports, and status updates.
• Supporting meeting preparation, documentation, and action tracking.
• Assisting with process improvement, automation, and digitalisation initiatives.
• Supporting data gathering, analysis, and reporting activities.
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and proactively proposing solutions.
• Taking ownership of assigned tasks and driving them to completion.
• Contributing to a positive client experience throughout the implementation journey.

What are we looking for?

• University student interested in Project Management, Business, Finance, Banking, Operations, or related studies.
• Strong command of English (written and spoken).
• Highly proactive with a strong "to-do" and "make-it-happen" mentality.
• Eager to learn, curious, and willing to challenge the status quo.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and following up on actions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Co-Pilot, Teams).
• Availability to work 20 hours per week.

Previous banking experience is not required. We are primarily looking for someone with energy, initiative, ownership, and a genuine willingness to learn and contribute.

About the team

Global Client Implementation Management (GIM) is responsible for implementing Transaction Services products and services for ING's international Corporate and Financial Institutions clients. The team acts as a single point of contact during onboarding and implementation, coordinating activities across ING's international network while ensuring an excellent client experience and a timely path to revenue.

You will join a collaborative international team where ownership, client focus, teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do.
