The Information Security Governance Specialist is a senior role within the Tech Security Centre of Excellence, supporting the Cyber Strategy & GRC Lead in advising stakeholders on managing and mitigating security risks.

The role focuses on strengthening governance, managing risk and compliance, , while setting direction for specific services and functions such as third-party cyber risk.

As a subject matter expert, you will collaborate across Technology, Risk, and business teams, while mentoring colleagues and promoting best practices to enhance cyber resilience and compliance.

What you’ll do …

  • Provide expert security advisory across business and technology,

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across Business, Risk, IT, and Security functions.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Prudential Standards, and support audit activities.

  • Oversee governance processes by monitoring risks, managing security metrics, and improving overall process health.

  • Set the direction for third-party cyber risk management, including vendor assessments, incident triage, and security due diligence.

  • Contribute to security strategy, roadmap initiatives, projects, and promote continuous improvement in security practices and awareness.

What we’re looking for….

  • 5+ security experience with deep expertise in at least one domain such as governance, risk, or compliance

  • Experience working in the finance industry or a highly regulated entity

  • Strong experience in security advisory or governance, including working on enterprise-wide projects and engaging with senior executives through presentations and reporting

  • Broad knowledge or exposure across security domains such as third-party risk management

  • Solid understanding of data protection, security frameworks, and building or improving enterprise-wide security awareness and resilience programs
