The mission

You will be part of the Center of Expertise UX Design and Content. Our mission is to execute the seamless digital delivery strategy with a positive result. We are a team with passionate UX design specialists and content writers. Our CoE works with different tribes, squads and stakeholders throughout ING Wholesale Bank. We work according to the ING Agile way of working.   

Our CoE is currently based in Amsterdam and we are expanding our team with UX designers in our ING Hubs Romania location. This role will be the first UX designer in this setting, so you will also play an important role in building the team in Romania.   

Your day to day

You will design, test and improve our in house built applications and help digitize our many processes. We design for our ingwb.com website, InsideBusiness Portal (our web banking platform), InsideBusiness Services (our employee facing service platform), a mobile app and a lot of other specialized applications throughout the bank. Our users are clients and internal users who are spread over more than 35 countries who use our channels for daily banking, service, finding information and to buy our products.  

Together with Customer Journey Experts and Engineers we are here to deliver on our customer promise. You work in a tech-driven environment in multidisciplinary teams in different parts of the bank to provide customers a superior banking experience that is also positive for the planet.   

You will maintain a helicopter-view of what is needed to deliver the best designs and you will be able to prioritize your tasks accordingly to get the most value for our customers.  

What you’ll bring to the team

• You have a minimum of 3 years work experience as UX Designer, preferably in the financial service industry; 

• Your specialty is interaction design but also confident in other fields of UX design (visual design, user testing);

• Ability to understand the underlying issues, opportunities and dynamics of an international organization; 

• Ability to display style flexibility, approach and behavior for different needs, cultures and situations; 

• You proactively advise internal stakeholders on the right approach to achieving their goals;

• You have excellent English verbal and written communication skills;

• You have an impressive portfolio with preferably financial cases; 

• Proficient in Figma.
