The expected salary for this position: 9600 - 18000 PLN

The financial ranges specified in the announcement are adjusted and may differ from the range specified in the remuneration regulations.

We are looking for you, if you:

• are experienced developer in Spring Boot (preferable) or Java EE,
• are experienced with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code,
• working knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift,
• understand security and risk principles in code development,
• are familiar with orchestration tools like Helm, Terraform and Ansible,
• are highly communicative and flexible
• can stay focused in an environment with changing priorities 

You'll get extra points for:

• have knowledge of network environments,
• scripting skills in Python, Bash or PowerShell,
• experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• working knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices.
• familiarity with Scrum methodology (e.g., backlog, sprint planning, reviews).
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• a proactive, can-do attitude with a mindset of continuous improvement.
• team player who values collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• end-to-end ownership mentality and ability to work independently.
• willingness to coach and support the development of others.

Your responsibilities:

• design and refine new software functionality
• build new functionality using Java and implement using Pipeline via the agreed upon working methodology
• develop and automate infrastructure.
• collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to a shared team backlog.
• continuously improve software documentation, and processes.
• monitor, evaluate, and enhance Incident, Problem, Change, and Configuration Management processes.

Information about the squad:

Our squad is an international team located in The Netherlands (Amsterdam/Rotterdam) and Poland (Katowice/Warsaw), where we develop, maintain and manage software solution to manage firewall rules for ING networks.

As a Dev Engineer specializing in Java, you’ll play a key role in delivering secure, scalable, and resilient solutions for, eventually, millions of customers.

You’ll work in an agile squad, collaborating closely with the Product Manager and fellow engineers to deliver high-impact solutions.

Daily stand-ups, periodic planning and reviews are part of your routine, supported by modern tools and a strong DevOps culture.

The role naming convention in the global ING job architecture will be “Engineer III”.
