Business Control Specialist

For the CTO/Finance&Risk Risk & Security Operations team, we are looking for a Security engineer with a focus on IT Security and ITSM (IT Service Management).

The team

The team consist of Risk & Security experts (NL based and Manilla based) which are supporting the Finance & Risk entity on Risk & Security topics.

IT R&S Operations team, in close collaboration with the DevOps teams and the IT R&S Experts team, focus on the day-to-day management and execution of IT risk and security tasks. Ensures that measures are implemented according to ING standards and policies, where necessary, demonstrated by qualitative evidence. Furthermore, the team steers the execution of SOx testing, First Line Monitoring activities, One Identity (UAM) support and penetration testing request handling services. Through consolidation, automation of tasks and centralizing execution, a reduction of IT risk and security operation activities and cognitive load in our F&R application teams will be achieved.

The members are typically experienced, they have diverse interdisciplinary technical, IT risk and/or IT security backgrounds.

Roles and responsibilities

We are looking for an IT Risk & Security and ITSM expert with hands-on technical experience with IT Security area’s such as: Identity and Access Management, Security Monitoring, Vulnerability Management, Change Management, etc.

The ideal candidate can support DevOps teams in their IT Risk & Security journey by providing expert guidance and consultancy and can show teams how to setup their IT landscape in such a way that the DevOps teams are working according to the ING policies, are within Risk Appetite, are working efficiently and future proof and are working in line with the vision of the global CISO domain.

We are looking for subject matter expert on platforms like Windows, Linux and Oracle with a focus on the security and authorization setup of these platforms. Preferably the candidates have multiple years of hands-on experience as administrator on such platforms and have knowledge of Windows Security, BOKS (security layer of Linux), Oracle IAM etc. Cloud IAM / IT Security knowledge is a pré.

You are a driven IT security specialist with excellent IT / platform security knowledge and the ability to diagnose and resolve ambiguous problems. You have very good social and communication skills. You work together with your colleagues across your domain. You have a have a 'no nonsense' getting-things-done mentality.

A part of the job is being the ITSM Process Expert for our entity. In this role, you are the Process Expert on ITSM / ITIL processes like Incident-, Problem-, Change- and Configuration Management.

In this role, you are:

• The go-to person for the organization when they have questions on this topic.

• Continuously looking for improvements in our (your team, and all DevOps teams) Way of Working.

• Actively monitoring the process adherence of our teams, and provide guidance and instructions where needed.

• Performing data analysis, root cause analysis and other deep dives to understand bottlenecks and come up with solutions.

• Responsible for Process Documentation, Communication and Awareness, Process Performance.

• Providing support, explanations and workshops, custom build to needs of the Finance & Risk DevOps teams.

• Linking pin between the global CISO organization and the Finance & Risk community.

• Align with IT Risk & Security and ITSM stakeholders of the other domains on overarching topics.

• Monitor the risk score of Finance & Risk and support the entity to be within Risk Appetite.

• Align with IRM (2nd line of defence) on control implementation and evidence.

• You are a trusted advisor who knows how to handle discussions with different stakeholders

• You are a driven Process Expert that must be passionate about processes. You are ambitious with what you and your team want to achieve. You stimulate yourself and the team members towards continuous improvement.  You bring positive energy to the team and have very good social and communication skills.

• Wide understanding of IT Risk, Security and ITSM processes and technologies.

• Most preferable candidate worked previously as a Security / Senior OPS engineer within the ING.

• Wide understanding of ITSM, IT Security and IT Risk.

• Your key competencies: excellent team player, persistent, service oriented, customer centric, eager to learn, willing to take ownership.

• You love to deep dive technology, searching for root causes of issues and incidents and to resolve them.

• 3+ years of system administrator experience (either Windows, Linux or Oracle), preferably in defining authorisations, policies, etc.

• Preferably one or more advanced Security certifications demonstrating a broad knowledge of the information security field such as; CISSP, SCCP, ISSAP, CISA, CISM, GSEC.

• Great English communication skills, verbal as well as written.

• Natural motivation and drive to take end-to-end ownership.

• Curiosity to always look for innovation opportunities.
