ING WB Finance Business Advice Sectors is looking for a motivated and capable team member to join the dynamic Business Advice team responsible for the worldwide reporting and advice function regarding sector Performance under the Wholesale Banking organization structure. The candidate is expected to interact with FO Sector Head(s), regional heads, Business Manager(s) and different finance colleagues on a regular basis providing business advice and pro-active analysis.

Your new work environment

The Finance Business Advice Sectors team is part of the WB Finance / Chief financial officer CFO and consists of 8 Finance professionals, all with their own expertise and several years of experience at various levels of the organization.

Working in the team requires interaction with many stakeholders internally (finance departments, business lines, WBMT, Risk, Capital Management, Corporate Strategy, chief commercial officer CCO, Investor Relations, etc.).

Your responsibilities are but not limited to:

  • Develop and improve robust and reliable finance reporting, analysis and forecasting for sectors across the WB dimensions of Regions, Segments and Products
  • Business partner for selected Region(s) / Sector(s). Lead the Finance process of sector Performance reviews, analyses, and advice
  • Driving and steering ”risks and opportunities” analysis, with a constructive dialogue with the business on potential actions
  • Manage expenses and FTEs for the selected business domain(s)
  • Team support for continued development of Web-Based reporting (Powerbi)
  • Participating in and supporting team involvement in multiple cross-functional projects and virtual teams within WB Finance to improve collaboration within both Finance and FO
  • Focus on continuous improvements and look for efficiencies in our processes. Specifically involved in improving the Value Reporter process, timing and delivery.
  • Development of manuals and governances in relation to data delivery and monitoring from different systems to our database

Furthermore, you have:

  • Current residency in the Netherlands is required to be considered for the role

  • 5+ years in a similar role (ideally in a banking environment but not a must). Roles such as Accounting Control. Business Control, BA commercial steering, etc.

  • Academic degree in Finance or equivalent (e.g., Economics)
  • Systems experience in our reporting systems e.g., Value Reporter/Mass/Vantage/Vortex having used or experience with is a pre.
  • Strong analytical skills: able to understand and explain complex matters quickly
  • Customer focus and Commercial mindset. Addresses potential customer needs
  • Advanced skills in MS office (Excel, Powerpoint- Thinkcell)
  • Initiative, creates opportunities and openings, the use of scenario analysis, predictive analytics, and deep dives to get an idea of the future context
  • Develop networks, building long-term relationships.
  • Flexible and pragmatic: capable of delivering in a changing environment
  • Accurate: quality of work should match with high standards of our stakeholders
