We are looking for an experienced Customer Journey Expert willing to take on a huge challenge and work on one of the main strategic products for ING Payments!

Payments is on the move. With market trends like AI, Big Tech and Fintech shaping the future, ING Payments is working on the next step towards seamless and integrated Payments for our customers. Together with our partner the European Payments Initiative (EPI) we are developing a new proposition for E-commerce transactions, initially for the Belgian, German and Dutch markets.

Your department

In our department (tribe) Payment NL we work towards giving our customers the best and most seamless Payments customer journey possible. To realize this ambition, we are looking for an experienced product manager (customer journey expert), who has in-depth knowledge of Payment products and developing (mobile) features to integrate into our mobile App. You know how to convert this knowledge and experience into leading the development team, taking the responsibility for the refinement, planning and delivery, creating entirely new proposition for our customers and ensuring back-end processes are properly set-up (processes are operationalized, business flows are well documented, risk assessment completed etc.) . ING Payments NL is one of the largest tribes within ING the Netherlands and mostly based in Amsterdam. The tribe entails all products and processes associated with Payments within ING the Netherlands servicing our 7 million customers every day.

Your team

Your team is focusing on the implementation of the E-commerce proposition provided by EPI (product name WERO) within the ING’s banking APP.  

You will work closely together with other ING departments, such as the risk and legal parties, other tribes and ING Belgium and Germany amongst other stakeholders throughout the entire payments chain. Externally, you work together with parties such as other banks, Currence (iDEAL) and EPI.

You are a team player, have excellent problem-solving ability and can drive projects from concept to execution. As our new Customer Journey Expert (Product Manager), you:

  • Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree.

  • Have experience in payments and knowledge of payment trends.

  • Understand customer needs and challenges.

  • Have a commercial mindset and a drive to make impact.

  • Can demonstrate experience in implementing innovations or propositions.

  • Have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take decisions based on data and facts.

  • Have solid interpersonal and collaborative skills to interact with different stakeholders.

  • Are fluent in English (verbally and written).

  • Like to deep dive into the content to create the best products.

  • Understand the need to comply with regulations and policies but dare to debate alternatives and challenge status quo.
