A central part of Model Risk Management (MoRM) mission is to become a strategic partner to model stakeholders to enable a holistic and proactive management of model risks, supporting ING on staying step ahead of the game on managing emerging risks (e.g. AI, Ethics, ESG), designing the overall’s ING’s model strategy and ensuring effective controls.

Role and responsibilities

You’ll be involved in supporting further development and enhancements of the global MoRM framework (policy, procedures, guidance) and its consistent application across the organization – on global (headquarters) as well as local (country) level. You will assist with:

MoRM Policy gatekeeper

  • Support senior experts in execution of quality assurance review of policies and procedures
  • Contribute to drafting MoRM procedures and guidelines in cooperation with subject matter experts
  • Support the internal policy systems administration (policy page maintenance…metadata, document uploads, graphics updates)

Communications

  • Supervise and coordinate model stakeholders’ requests for advisory questions on MoRM procedures, guidelines and other documents
  • Support with MRO communications, drafting and sending important updates to MoRM and external stakeholders

To take on this challenging and rewarding opportunity, you’ll need:

  • Master or Bachelor (third-year bachelor) student with a strong interest in banking, risk and governance
  • Ability to draft clear and concise policy documents
  • Good communication skills, being able to convey complex messages in simple ways both orally and in writing
  • Good listener and able to obtain information from subject matter experts and incorporate stakeholders’ feedback
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to build effective working relationships and thrive in a diversified and multicultural work environment
  • High degree of independence and pro-active attitude
  • Team player
  • Proficiency in MS office tools, excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams
