ING’s Payment and Settlement Services (“PSS”) is a professional services provider in payments, settlements, and open banking. PSS is building a global payments platform to consolidate all of ING’s payments volumes resulting in cost-efficiency for ING and a more strengthened and centralised control environment for payments. PSS is an independent unit within ING’s COO domain, reporting directly into ING’s COO. PSS is a Business Services oriented organisation. To deliver on our ambitious roadmap, we have organised ourselves into a strong strategic and commercially focused organisation around our services.

In the area of International Payments, FI payments, High Value Payments and Non-SEPA Domestic Payments, we are looking for a Product Lead to further improve our service offering and deliver on our ambitious roadmap

Your responsibilities

  • You take full ownership for the product and are responsible for the product vision & strategy, to create business value and deliver a differentiating customer experience.
  • You manage the product’s life cycle, with the ultimate goal to increase customer impact.
  • You perform analyses to stay on top of market trends, to ensure the product’s competitive position.
  • You define the roadmap of the product and maximize business value through prioritization of the product backlog, under consideration of relevant stakeholder needs.
  • You are responsible for product performance, including reporting to and reviews with consuming parties/entities.
  • You are responsible for the creation of annual financial plans and managing your product & teams within budget.
  • You manage teams that work on the product, by providing them with strategic direction and by coaching them on the job.
  • You are the hierarchical manager of the business people in the teams, and it’s your job to empower them to thrive and perform at their best. You set direction, you help them to develop their craftsmanship and you have continuous conversations about their career development.

You are a naturally collaborative person who listens and invests in others to achieve common goals. You love to challenge the status quo and are eager to propose creative solutions to problems.

Your qualifications:

  • Master's degree and excellent level of English – verbal and written;
  • 10+ years experience on a senior position in International Payments. Sound experience in product/service management and development knowledge on domestic payment processing;
  • Proven track record in driving and steering multidisciplinary teams;
  • Experienced in building and executing strategic roadmaps, as well as delivering strategic projects with high impact, in accordance with agreed timelines.

  • You look ahead, have a strategic mindset, and find opportunities which you translate into concrete strategies;
  • You are organisational savvy, manoeuvre easily through complex policies, processes, and organisational dynamics across ING;
  • You have a customer focus, build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions;
  • Drive engagement and create an environment in which people are motivated to perform at their best to help ING achieve its goals;
  • You are a self-starter. You take it on and make it happen thanks to your ‘can do’ attitude, persistence and excellent planning and organisational skills;
  • Like to challenge the status quo and are eager to propose creative solutions to complex problems.

  • A salary tailored to your qualities and experience till mid range GJA19
  • 40 hour workweek over 5 days
