The Analytics Engineering Center of Excellence team, with over100 members and expanding, aims to make ING data-driven byleveragingData and Analyticsto deliver impactful solutions. We foster a collaborative and creative work environment focused on supporting our people and projects.

Role description

As anAI Engineer, youare passionate about working withmodern software engineering practices and Agentic AI, and ready todrive the development and scaling of distributed agentic AI solutions, fromconcept to production.In this newly set-up team, you will work closely with data scientists and product owners,tobuildmulti‑agent frameworksand toorchestrate interactions between agents.Your work will ensure robust,scalable AIcapabilities thatare integrated within the bank todeliverreal businessimpact.

Do you recognize yourself in this profile:

• Python programmingproficiency.

• Experience with Microservices, REST/gRPCAPIs,asyncprogramming.

• Experiencewithdesigning distributed software with cloud-based managed services (preferably GCP).

• Deployment and provisioning automation toolse.g.Docker, Kubernetes,Openshift, CI/CD.

• Basic networking knowledge.

• Basic understanding ofInfrastructure-as-Code(Terraform).

• Familiarity with concepts such as neural networks, model training/testing,LLMarchitectures.

• Familiarity with agentic frameworks (ADK,LangChain,LangGraph,CrewAI) anddesignof multi-agent systems.

• Practical experience withLLMs(Gemini,Claudeetc.), RAGsystems,andvectorDBs.

• Proficiencyofsoftware engineeringbestpractices including version control, testing, documentation, and code review.

• Collaborating withSMEs(datascienstis, data analysts, product owner)in a newly set-up team.

Nice to have (but Not Required):Even if youdon'tmeet every requirement, we encourage you to apply. Experience in these areas is a bonus:

• Production-ready, software engineering mindset. We are setting up our teams from scratch and prefer candidates who have built modern applications fromscratch, andensured itreachedproduction environments.

• Basic understanding of Java/Kotlin for connectivity to ING internal systems.

• Background in monitoring and observability with tools likeGoogleCloudTrace,LangSmith,Langfuse,PhoenixArize.

• Involvement in the implementation and deployment of cloud solutions incorporating Generative AI and LLM technologies.

• Experience in developing andmaintaininghigh load APIs, andOpenAPIintegration and governance.

• Strong GCP and event-driven architecture skills.

• Contribution to open-source projects is consideredadvantageous.
