📍 Amsterdam | ⏳ 6 months | 🗓 Preferred start: 1 June (flexible)

About the department

The Wholesale Banking – Client & Digital Services domain operates at the heart of client experience and digital enablement within Wholesale Banking. The communications department focuses on planning, coordination, and clear communication across a broad stakeholder landscape, ensuring that strategic initiatives, updates, and improvements are delivered in a structured and engaging way.

Within this domain, communication plays a key role in connecting teams, sharing progress, and driving transparency. As an intern, you will be part of a small, dynamic team and work closely with a Planning & Communication Expert, supporting a wide variety of activities that contribute directly to the department’s effectiveness and visibility.

The internship

This internship offers a hands-on and highly diverse experience. No two days are the same: some activities are recurring and structured, while others arise ad hoc and require flexibility, creativity, and ownership.

You will support the Planning & Communication Expert in daily activities and have ample opportunity to take initiative, bring in fresh ideas, and continuously improve how the department communicates and operates.

To ensure a smooth onboarding, the preferred start date is 1 June, allowing time to learn from the current intern. At the same time, we understand that many academic programs start in September. Therefore, there is flexibility to:

Start in June, followed by a break during July and August, and continue from September, or Start in June and continue directly the internship

Your responsibilities

As an intern, your tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the end-to-end creation of bi‑monthly newsletters, including topic collection, coordination with stakeholders, content drafting, review cycles, and distribution
  • Contributing to monthly and periodic updates, including monitoring input, structuring information, and ensuring consistent messaging
  • Assisting in the creation of communication materials such as one-pagers, presentations, and internal updates
  • Supporting the development of video content, from concept and scripting to basic editing and publication
  • Helping improve communication processes and formats across the department
  • Providing day-to-day support on ad hoc planning and communication tasks
  • Conducting research and proactively proposing improvements, ideas, or new approaches where relevant

There is also room to shape the internship based on your strengths and interests, as long as it adds value to the team and the department.
