Your role & work environment:

Always wanted to work on the most important channel of ING, namely our mobile app?

Well, then we are looking for you: the Digital Channels Product Area, part of the Digital, Assisted and Customer Interaction (DACI) Tribe, is looking for a Product Owner for one of the squad working on the app.

This Squad is responsible to build and maintain native features of the ING Banking app. Next to having a primary purpose in the type of features managed, the squad can also work on any needed features prioritized by ING Belgium by splitting the work with other belgium native squads.

As Product Owner of a mobile native squad, your activities will include:

  • Prioritization and backlog management: Manage the backlog of Squad and its prioritization according to the strategical priorities of the Tribe and Retail Banking.
  • Delivery management: Ensure qualitative and fast delivery that clearly contributes to the overall strategic goals of the Retail organization.
  • Maintain a strong collaboration with all stakeholders which will depends on the feature requests.
  • Evaluate your impact as a squad: define with the squad your objectives (in relation with the Tribe OKR’s), evaluate and keep track of the impact you make and take corresponding actions to reach the overall objectives.
  • Take part of the release activities of the ING Banking app to customers.

As Product Owner of a mobile native squad, you will also need:

  • Be able to translate customer feedback into improvements of our digital journeys, always in a “customer first / mobile first” mindset.
  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • IT affinity: understand how the customer journeys connect to the underlying IT landscape, incl. the technical dependencies on components owned by other Tribes; and communicate with, and where necessary challenge, the IT developers and architects.
  • Knowledge of the ING Risk management framework
  • (User Acceptance) Testing skills
  • Ability to coach more junior CJE’s
  • Having an impact and data-driven mindset
  • You make things happen thanks to your ‘can-do’ attitude and autonomy, collaborating with different people in a very diversified culture and environment.
  • Fluency in Dutch or French AND English.
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of professional experience, including experience in digital delivery. Retail Banking or mobile channels experience is a plus.

As Product Owner of a mobile native squad, you will have the opportunity to:
