The Mission

The NFR Hubs Romania team is an integral part of ING’s Non-Financial Risk domain. The teamis responsible forensuring consistent implementation of NFR frameworks, policies, and procedures, while fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment within the hubs. The team focuses onmaintainingand enhancing the NFR Framework including the key NFR global procedures andNFR relatedpolicies, supporting ING’s global risk managementobjectives, and ensuring user-friendly processes for internal stakeholders.

Your day to day

Asan F&P NFR Specialist, you willbe responsible for:

  • Support the NFR Framework &Policies(F&P) team by contributing to assigned tasks andworkon the team’s goals.

  • Work closely with colleagues to help deliver teamobjectivesefficiently, focusing on risk-based approaches andassistinginmaintainingaccuratekey processes and internal control documents.

  • Participate in discussions with senior stakeholders torepresentthe NFR F&P team, as needed.

  • Assist ODCR in the implementation of globalNFRprocedures andNFRprocesses, ensuring local compliance and understanding.

  • Contribute ideas andassistwith updates to risk management processes to help improve the organization.

  • Show a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn by taking responsibility for tasks and completing your work, even when challenges arise.

  • Apply your basic understanding of non-financial risk and analytical skills to support internal teams and develop positive working relationships.

  • Carry out assigned tasks independently,demonstrateinitiative when possible, and help with changes that improve the team’s results.

  • Gain hands-on experience byassistingwith the development of policies and procedures, while growing your knowledge of non-financial risk methods.

  • Support ING’s non-financial risk management efforts and helpmaintaincompliance with regulations by performing your duties diligently.

Specific Tasks 

  • Helpmaintainand update documents youare responsible for, such asNFRpolicies,NFRprocedures, and frameworks, working closely with team members and other relevantparties.

  • SupportNFRF&Pteambyparticipatingin discussions with senior staff when needed.

  • Work with other teams, like ODCR and RiskCoEs, to help implement global NFR processes and procedures.

  • Assistwith responding to requests from the ECB or internal teams as they arise.

  • Work with colleagues to help resolve issues that have been escalated.

  • Take part in committees and forums, such as NFRCs and MTs, to support team activities.

Whatyou’llbring to the team

  • University/Post Graduate(Bachelor orMaster’s)equivalentDegree

  • Awareof Non-Financial Risk Management Frameworkincluding related global NFR processes(RIA, RMIT, Event, etc.)

  • Some experience inwritingpolicy,proceduresand other relevant internal control documentsacross NFRand / or relateddomains

  • Affinity with the ING’s governance including related internal control documentsandrelevant regulations(e.g.EBA, ECB)

  • Minimum3years of experience providing expert competence;of which c.13years in Non-Financial Riskor related field, preferably in the banking

  • Affinity withanalytical, problem-solving,anddelivery skills

  • Sound stakeholder management and influencing skills

  • Able tocommunicate clearly,goodpresentationskills, and coordination capabilities

  • Ability to work across geographies
