Your mission

At ING DealWise, we want to empower consumers and merchants and offer a relevant shopping experience through:

  • Easy cashback solutions;

  • Relevant discount offers;

  • Loyalty challenges for their favourite brands;

ING DealWise was built for scale, focusing on acquiring consumers and merchants in Belgium, Germany and Romania where ING has a retail presence. The platform was built by taking into account the competition in this area and the differentiators it can bring to the market.

Area of responsibility

We are seeking an Affiliate Network and Business Development Manager with a relentless focus on driving commercial success, who is well-organized, high-energy, and performance-driven.

You can be located in Germany or Romania.

If you have a proven track record of delivering results, building trust, and driving high engagement, this role is tailor-made for you. Fluent in English and German on a professional level, you will play a pivotal role in our journey to connect consumers and merchants across different countries.

Your role and responsibilities

Affiliate Network Management: 

  • Oversee and manage existing affiliate network relationships to ensure growth, engagement, and optimal performance. 

  • Identify areas of improvement within the current affiliate network partnerships and develop strategies to enhance their effectiveness. 

New Affiliate Network Development: 

  • Identify and establish relationships with new affiliate networks to expand our reach and offerings. 

  • Evaluate potential affiliate partners to ensure alignment with our business objectives and values. 

Future Direct Merchant Engagement (Aspirational): 

  • Develop strategies and plans for future engagement with direct merchants in the German market, aligning with our long-term ambitions. Please note that direct relationships with merchants in the German market are not currently possible but are part of our future vision. 

Strategic Planning: 

  • Collaborate with the Merchant Lead to implement a strategic plan and KPIs, to drive affiliate network growth and direct merchant engagement when feasible. 

Cross-Border Coordination: 

  • Collaborate with ING Wholesale banking and SME businesses to ensure a seamless experience for merchants and consumers, whether within affiliate networks or direct partnerships. 

Product Development: 

  • Manage features needed for merchants, with input from different countries, ensuring a customer-centric approach in feature development. 

KPI Management: 

  • Co-develop and maintain KPIs for affiliates, offers, and overall platform performance, enabling data-driven decision-making. 

Compliance: 

  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to the affiliate networks, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of security and data privacy. 

Stakeholder Engagement: 

  • Actively communicate and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to gain buy-in for DealWise’s vision and take actions to improve results. 

Extended Responsibilities: 

  • Be open and ambitious to extending your responsibilities as required to achieve organizational objectives. 

What you bring to the team

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in German and English knowledge on a professional level to facilitate cross-border communication and partnership building. 
  • Commercial Acumen: Proven track record of driving commercial success and achieving results. 
  • B2B Account Management: Demonstrated experience in B2B account management, affiliate networks, or partner management is highly valued. 
  • Strategic Vision: Capable of identifying future opportunities and translating them into concrete actions. 
  • Collaboration and Communication: Effective collaboration and communication skills for working closely with various stakeholders. 
  • Customer Focus: Strong focus on building and maintaining strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions. 
  • Tech-Savviness: Familiarity with digital and technical innovations and their application to strengthen commercial operations. Good knowledge of Affiliate network platforms and LinkedIn social platform is preferable. 
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to make data-driven decisions and explain complex issues in an understandable manner. 
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree: A relevant degree in a related field is expected for this position.
