Mission

Network Security engineer role is part of the INGs’ Tech Platform Services tribe, with responsibilities on managing large scale (national and international) network products and services, supporting ING Bank applications’ data transfers by implementing and operating highly secure and resilient network security solutions.

The role is responsible on translating business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables ensuring scalability, reliability, compliance and security considering full range of products & services from Core Infrastructure, Platforms and Workplace Experience thus supporting organization Cloud journey and Digital by default processes.

Your day-to-day

• Experience in routing, switching, firewalls, DDoS protection, load balancing, reverse proxy, web gateway, aaa and vpn solutions
• Work with technologies from various vendors such as Cisco, F5, Palo Alto, Skyhigh
• Good knowledge of Linux/Unix OS commands
• Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot a network infrastructure;
• Cloud architecture principles - Designing and developing functional areas of a cloud, including automation, infrastructure, SDN technology, consumption platform, security – nice to know technologies such as (MS Azure, Google Cloud, AWS, .. )
• Good knowledge on scripting / automation ( Python, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript ) and orchestration platforms (Terraform, Ansible, Saltstack, Chef, Puppet, Azure Pipeline Automation ) .
• Experience with monitoring and alerting platforms such Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus.
• Perform daily operating system administration tasks, including hardware and software upgrades, patch management and maintain regulatory controls;
• Proactively review the environment and take initiatives to reduce failures, defects and improve performance;
• Perform systems checks based on monitoring events and correct any issues;
• Analyze the performance, proactive troubleshooting, continual improvement and capacity planning;
• Ensure timely and accurate resolution of the incidents on the administrated systems;
• Investigate problems in the production environment;
• Document tasks and changes, including deep analysis in order to prevent any downtime;
• Maintain security and data integrity for infrastructure applications.

What you bring to the team

• University degree  in Information Technology
• 7-10 years of experience in a similar position in Infrastructure (Bank, IT company)
• Professional qualifications: specific advandced qualifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISA
• PC utilization: Edvanced level of MS office, networking
• Appliances/tools/tehnologies: DDOS, Firewalls (Palo Alto), F5/NGINX, WAF, Proxy (McAfee Web Gateway), AAA server (Cisco ISE), Ansible
• Foreign language requirements: English fluent
• Professional knowledge: Advanced professional knowledge of two of the following fields: IT Security, Networking. Familiar with agile way of working.
