We are looking for a talented and enthusiasticNetwork Engineerto join ourGlobal Internet Access Teamof theGlobal Infrastructure & Access (GIA)area.

The responsibility of this team is to deliver secure, reliable and high-performing internet proxy and remote access services to ING employees worldwide. Our mission is to ensure secure connectivity while maintaining the highest standards of availability, performance and security across the organization's network infrastructure.

Our way of working is based on Agile principles, fostering collaboration, continuous improvement and shared ownership. You will work closely with the Product Manager and your squad colleagues, participating in Agile ceremonies and contributing to a common backlog to deliver value to our customers. You will also be part of an international and distributed team environment where communication, teamwork and knowledge sharing are key to success.

Your key responsibilities:

As aNetwork Engineer, you will:

• Positively contribute to the stability, security and continuous improvement of ING's global internet access services.
• Co-create secure and scalable network solutions together with engineers, product managers and infrastructure teams.
• Ensure reliable and efficient operation of network services through monitoring, maintenance and proactive problem-solving.
• Provide Tier 3 technical support for complex network-related incidents and requests.
• Perform operational support activities including lifecycle management, incident resolution, reporting and service monitoring.
• Contribute to infrastructure projects and network transformation initiatives.
• Support security processes and risk management activities, including patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Participate in planned out-of-business-hours changes and standby on-call activities when required.
• Actively share knowledge and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.

• At least 3 years of experience working with network technologies.
• Experience with enterprise networking and security solutions such as proxies, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers and Secure Service Edge (SSE) technologies. Experience with Check Point, Skyhigh, Palo Alto, F5 or Netskope is highly valued.
• Strong networking knowledge equivalent to CCNA/CCNP level.
• Strong focus on security, reliability and operational excellence.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly express ideas, facts and opinions.
• Proven ability to deliver results efficiently, on time and with high quality standards.
• Proactive and energetic mindset with a strong willingness to learn and continuously develop new skills.
• Professional and intellectual IT capability, ideally supported by a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English (C1 level).

Nice to have

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Go or PowerShell.
• Experience in automation and infrastructure automation practices.
• Passion for knowledge sharing, mentoring and team collaboration.
