Your role and work environment:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Physical Security Expert to join our Physical Security Team of CISO Area.

The Physical Security Expert supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of physical security measures across sites and operations. The role focuses on monitoring day-to-day security activities, analyzing incidents, and ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations.

Working closely with internal stakeholders (Security, Facilities, Health & Safety, and IT) and external providers, the analyst helps maintain a safe and secure environment while contributing to operational efficiency and risk mitigation.

This is a hands-on role with a strong operational and analytical component, requiring attention to detail, proactiveness, and the ability to work with data, tools, and procedures.

The responsibility of this team isto keep the bank secure, and our way of working is proactive, risk-based and business-focused.

Your key responsibilities:

As a Physical Security Expert you will:

Support the monitoring and management of operational security incidents, ensuring proper tracking, follow-up, and closure.

Develop and maintain security dashboards and reporting tools to provide visibility on incidents, risks, and performance indicators.

Assist in the implementation and maintenance of physical security systems (e.g., access control, CCTV, alarm systems).

Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure effective day-to-day security operations.

Support risk assessments and site reviews, identifying gaps and proposing improvements.

Contribute to the creation and update of procedures, documentation, and playbooks to ensure traceability and consistency.

Participate in incident investigations and reporting, including root cause analysis and lessons learned.

Management and control of institutional or ING-specific events.

Management and control of events, issues and actions in Irisk.

Background in Security, Criminology, Engineering, or related fields.

Experience or interest in physical security operations and systems.

Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar).

High level of attention to detail and structured way of working.

Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with different stakeholders.

Proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.
