Job Overview & Your working environment

As a Low‑Code Engineer with strong Power BI expertise in the Intelligent Automation team, you design and deliver scalable, governed Finance reporting and automation solutions that support COO Finance priorities. You translate business reporting needs into high‑quality Power BI dashboards, including data models, semantic layers, and role‑level security, ensuring performance, compliance, and reusability.

The role goes beyond Power BI. You work closely with Finance stakeholders, data owners, IT, and the Intelligent Automation team to build integrated reporting and automation solutions that fit within the broader low‑code ecosystem. This includes collaborating effectively both independently and within a team.

In addition to Power BI, you may work with other low‑code and automation tools such as Alteryx, RPA platforms, OutSystems, and optionally Python, to strengthen end‑to‑end reporting and automation capabilities

Key Responsibilities

  • In this role, you lead the intake, analysis, and translation of Finance reporting and dashboarding requirements. You assess whether Power BI or alternative low‑code solutions are the best fit and translate business questions into clear functional and technical specifications.
  • You design and deliver robust, governed BI solutions, including reusable data models, semantic layers, metrics, role‑level security, and automated refresh processes. This includes performance optimization, scripting, and ensuring scalable, reliable reporting aligned with Finance data and governance standards.
  • Beyond BI development, you analyze Finance processes and data structures to identify opportunities for reporting, automation, and efficiency improvements, always aligned with COOF strategic priorities.
  • A key part of the role is stakeholder collaboration and delivery ownership. You work closely with Finance users, product owners, architects, and senior stakeholders to refine requirements, communicate insights clearly, and ensure high‑quality delivery within agreed timelines. You support governance through clear ownership, documentation, quality checks, and lifecycle management of reporting assets.
  • You contribute to fit‑for‑purpose solutioning across the low‑code landscape, promoting consistent design patterns and reusable components. In addition to Power BI, the role involves working with other low‑code and automation technologies (such as Alteryx, RPA, dataflows, scripts, or integrations) to build integrated reporting and automation solutions.
  • You also help identify opportunities to enhance BI with AI‑enabled analytics, such as forecasting, anomaly detection, and automated insights, where this adds value to Finance decision‑making.

Key Capabilities/Experience & Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong experience designing and delivering Power BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, reusable datasets, semantic models, role‑level security (dynamic and static), and automated refresh pipelines in a governed environment.
  • Solid understanding of context‑driven and non‑context‑driven calculations data modelling and performance optimization.
  • Proven ability to translate Finance reporting and business questions into clear functional and technical specifications, and to assess whether Power BI or alternative low‑code solutions are the most fit‑for‑purpose.
  • Experience analysing Finance processes and underlying data structures, with a good understanding of Finance reporting landscapes, controls, governance, and dependencies within Finance domains.
  • Familiarity with governance concepts such as data ownership, security rules, documentation, versioning, quality checks, and alignment with COOF strategic and data governance standards.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data, automation, and reporting concepts to non‑technical users and senior stakeholders.
  • Agile mindset, with experience working in cross‑functional squads alongside Finance, IT, and automation delivery teams.
  • Experience with other low‑code and automation tools – such as Alteryx, OutSystems, or RPA platforms (e.g. Automation Anywhere, UiPath) – to support integrated reporting and automation solutions beyond Power BI.
  • Experience with Python for data transformation, automation, or analytics use cases is a strong plus, as it strengthens end‑to‑end reporting‑automation capabilities.

You will be part of the Intelligent Automation team within the COO Finance organization. From this team the Finance organization is serviced with low-code solutions (recognized as temporary solutions). Also strategical solutions for Finance are serviced via the COO Finance organization.
