Job Description

Manage day-to-day regulatory and compliance matters as they arise.
Receive, interpret, and disseminate regulatory requirements, and ensure timely implementation and completion of related actions.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support regulatory supervision, surveys, consultations, and provide timely responses to regulators.
Prepare for and support regulatory-related meetings.
Draft, review, and submit regulatory reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Provide advisory support to business and operations on regulatory and compliance matters.
Guide and support the business in implementing changes required by new or updated regulations.
Assist in the implementation of global and local policies and procedures.
Conduct compliance monitoring of designated business activities and perform periodic reviews.
Plan and deliver compliance induction and role-specific compliance training programs.
Liaise with regulatory authorities as required.
Engage stakeholders to promote a strong data protection culture, and provide guidance on privacy-by-design and new initiatives.
Participate in team job rotations where required.
Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Head of Compliance.

Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of experience in a risk or control function (e.g., compliance, legal, audit, or risk management).
Proven experience engaging with local regulatory authorities.
Solid knowledge of local banking regulations.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
Excellent proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
Demonstrates sound judgment, with the ability to balance firmness with flexibility.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Self-motivated, energetic, and able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Ability to work independently, think proactively, and take ownership and accountability.
