Data Stewardship

  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across all data sources
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to define data standards and best practices
  • Monitor data usage and compliance with data governance policies
  • Conduct data audits and quality assessments
  • Provide training and support to staff on data management practices
  • Maintain data documentation and metadata repositories
  • Identify and resolve data-related issues and discrepancies

 Operational Excellence 

  • Creation of workflow charts and dashboards to enable the effective monitoring of operational processes and escalation to senior management
  • Conduct data analysis and process flows to identify trends, root causes and opportunities for improvement
  • Leading Sector Coverage involvement in any new process role out
  • Collaborate with other cross-functional teams to implement process improvements
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the organisation

Coordination with other stakeholders on various workstreams such as:-

  • Internal and external audits.
  • Product Approvals (PARPs)
  • Risk and Control Self-Assessments
  • Key Control Testing

Requirements

  • minimum 5 years relevant experience within banking, financial services, regulatory (financial institutions) or consulting industries
  • Direct experience in data analytics and/or process optimization projects
  • Experience working in either an operational excellence and/or data stewardship role with a financial institution.
  • General appreciation of data governance or data analytics
  • An ability to communicate effectively with senior clients and stakeholders
  • Well-developed influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Ability to demonstrate a highly structured thought process
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong solution finding ability
  • Team player
  • Strong learning agility
  • Strong time management and prioritization capabilities
