Retail CDD Germany Circle lead

You’re people manager in an Agile way of working (WoW) organization. Which means servant leader instead of hierarchical top-down leader. You’re manager of 2 Customer Loyalty Teams (CLT’s) with up to 12 direct reports in each CLT. You are responsible for facilitating, supporting and motivating team members ultimately to support our partners in Germany with various CDD tasks and procedures such as

  • updating and pre-processing of client data according to global standards
  • collecting and monitoring all documents relevant to the identity of our clients
  • performing transaction analysis for high-net-worth individuals
  • gaining insights into client’s businesses, ownership structures and financial transactionswith the ultimate goal to protect ING and its customers through the execution of client due diligence in accordance with ING standards.

You are responsible for facilitating, supporting and motivating, as you:

  • Lead and mentor a team of CDD analysts responsible for retail client onboarding and periodic reviews
  • Oversee and coordinate CDD operations for retail clients within German market
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC) and other financial crime frameworks
  • Continuously enhance the integrated way of working and you coach and support your CLT members on their way to self-steering and self-organizing team;
  • Build strong-identity teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals;
  • Facilitate the HR cycle (staffing, planning, developing, reviewing and evaluating), balancing employee needs with company demands;
  • Drive engagement, creating a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives;
  • Understand the emotional responses and links self-awareness to action by leading by example and ability to practice informal influence within the teams and peers;
  • Translate the ING strategy and create objectives and actions, create and support management messages, develop policies, golden rules within the framework provided (or contribute to such development).

Also, you are responsible for enabling operational performance, as you:

  • Ensure delivery on agreed SLAs and KPIs;
  • Ensure quality and consistency in CDD file documentation in accordance with internal and external requirements
  • Apply data to your decision making (data-driven decisions) with timely, open and transparent communication;
  • Able to implement change related to your department taking ING Strategy and procedures into account;
  • Understand the environment, develop and maintain an internal and external network;
  • Act as a business partner to internal and external customers and manage relationships with them keeping the superior customer experience in mind;
  • Manage stakeholders from the chain effectively and be considered a ‘recognized business partner’.

You deliver continuous improvement (CI) and you manage risk, as you:

  • Become a Role model in sponsoring of improvement & innovation activities in your circle;
  • Prove problem solving capabilities following certain structure/framework;
  • Create environment which fosters & supports CI/innovation for strategic improvements on all levels;
  • Deliver prescribed outcomes for a designated area, using risk management systems to ensure the organization is not exposed to undue risks;
  • Ensure compliance and no reputation damage;
  • Ensure changes are recorded accordingly in procedures and work instructions;
  • Understand the financial figures, manage cost development and cost savings effectively

Wage (gross) 2.550 EUR/month

*By legal requirement we are providing the information about the basic wage component (minimum salary) for the advertised position. Based on your experience/profile, the final financial conditions will be the subject to discuss and negotiate at the personal interview, however, not less than above mentioned minimum salary component.
