The Mission

ING Hubs is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with Python who is technically passionate and willing explore the niched domain of host-to-host connectivity, using protocols like EBICS, in a vendor based solution. 

Your day-to-day 

• Develop Python interfaces ;
• (Re)Write functionalities in Go (from Java); 
• Supporting internal customers and Troubleshooting critical production issues across platforms and applications as required; 
• AzureDevOps, automated build and deployment process based on the CD/CI tools provided in the Azure DevOps and using internal private cloud (VMs and OpenShift).;
• Pipeline as a code with YAML; 
• Infrastructure as code. Developing automated confirmation management based on Ansible to be able to automate setup of our VMs/containers (e.g. certificates, monitoring tools);
• Able to help with a diverse ecosystem: back-end with Spring Boot and Java 8, Oracle, dockerized development, BDD with Python, production metrics;
• Various technologies including, but not limited to Ansible, Python, RHEL, Kibana, Oracle database, Azure DevOps tools, OpenShift/Docker. 

What you bring to the team 

• Relevant experience with Python of more than 5 years; 
• A genuine collaborative approach; 
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred;   
• Knowledge of a scripting language like and Bash; 
• Experience working in LINUX environments;
• Experience with modern CI/CD tools, preferably Azure; 
• Ansible (or other automation configuration tool) experience is required; 
• Knowledge or willing to learn GoLang; 
• Experience with modern Monitoring Tooling like Prometheus and Elastic Stack; 
• Knowledge of encryption, hashing mechanisms (e.g. PKI, RSA, SHA, DES, AES); 
• A desire to learn new technologies and evolve with an ever changing industry;  
• Accurate in managing the IT related Compliancy and Risk controls; 
• Accurate in documenting and following procedures. 

Nice to have 

• Experience with Oracle; 
• Experience with payment systems  like EBICS, SWIFT, FTP; 
• Understanding of IT related Compliancy and Risk controls; 
• Basic knowledge of Java; 
• Basic knowledge of frontend development with web components.
