Product Area Lead KYC Delivery
Organizational context:
· Within Financial Crime & Fraud Prevention (FCFP) we see it as our purpose to stay ahead in preventing financial crime and to demonstrate our gatekeeper role to the financial system, covering the full scope of anti-money laundering and countering terrorist financing during the client life cycle.
· This includes customer onboarding, periodic and event driven reviews, name screening, pre-transaction screening and transaction monitoring.
· By providing policies, standards, process design, tooling and operational delivery the KYC organisation contributes to our societal role as gatekeeper to safeguard our financial infrastructure against financial crime.
· We are moving from operations risk management to an intelligence-led organisation, by using data, information and insights to make decisions.
· Our strategic direction brings our network together across 4 streams: scalable operations, strong technology, smart processes & skilled workforce. All streams are interconnected to support strategy implementation.
· The department’s aim is to become an intelligence-led organization that uses data, information, and insights to make informed decisions, improving both the employee & customer experience.
What you will do:
· You are a member of the FCP (formerly KYC) Leadership Team, reporting hierarchically to Head of Financial Crime Prevention Belgium.
You are the process owner for the KYC processes in your scope. We cover Customer due diligence, Transaction Monitoring, Screening and Customer Tax Integrity. You are accountable that the process designs, tools and the execution meets the regulatory, policy and customer promise.
You lead the delivery teams and ensure the Bank’s quality, effectivity, efficiency and customer experience standards are met.
This role requires experience in leading innovation, digitalization, improving customer experience, while staying in control of increasing regulatory constraints. It combines a client focused attitude with analytical skills and result oriented strategic thinking.
· With your peers as well as IT, operations, client segments and 2nd line counterparts you take a broad view when approaching issues, using a bankwide lens.
· You drive the implementation and adoption of the Customer Due Diligence requirement for all business line locations and consolidate information required to keep the bank safe and compliant.
What we are looking for:
· 5+ years relevant experience providing expert competence.
· Ability to inspire and convince stakeholders and teams across functions, bringing energy and drive.
· Experience and ability to act as the trusted advisor for senior leadership; able to play the strategic challenger role to guide the prioritization and simplification of transformation initiatives.
· Organizational sensitivity and a good understanding of the organisation, its ambition and strategy, as well as of banking processes in Belgium
· Good understanding of financial services, retail banking trends and challenges, ideally for ING
· ING Orange Code role model behaviour. Build strong-identity teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals.
· High resilience, the ability to deal with ambiguity and manage complexity.
· Experience in establishing, leading and developing a team of professionals with focus on continuous improvement.
· Strong communicator, excellent level of English. French and Dutch language proficiency nice to have.
