Quality Assurance Engineer

Your Day to Day

• Plan, write, execute, and refactor manual and automated test cases.
• Test and certify features for release.
• Conduct peer reviews for tests, test cases, automation scripts.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and track defect resolution to completion.
• Regression testing: a part of testing is done by tests written in Cucumber using Selenium with Java and Spring framework.
• Writing automated tests with Java (Cucumber and Selenium).
• Research, recommend and implement tools as needed to improve productivity and efficiency of the team.
• Be meticulous about documentation and maintain a robust log of all test cases and test results.
• Define test cases for automation using test engineering techniques like defining corner test cases etc.
• Define and execute functional test cases (and test plan, test strategy)
• Influence the direction of the overall architecture especially on quality and testing
• Identify and reduce technical debt
• Take ownership of all assigned task and challenges
• Be proactive in promoting ‘Best Practices’
• Be available for out of hours support as required

What you bring to the team

• Knowledge of OOP.
• Programming languages (Java – intermediate level / or other OOP programming language, SQL – Mid level).
• 3+ years of experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (including in-house testing frameworks).
• Experience with backend API and microservices.
• Experience with logs investigations.
• Very good communication skills and a great team player, highly motivated, self-driven and interested in Quality Assurance.
• Test case management skills.
• Attention to details and ability to organize work.
• Communication skills (in writing and verbal).
• Customer orientation.
• Knowledge on Azure Devops is a plus.
