Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Utilize various techniques such as data collection, analytics, data visualization and work with vast amounts of data to produce pertinent insights that enable data-driven solutions for business. Create reports and visualizations as part of deliverables as required by business.
• Effectively communicate the technical background, potential, and importance of the solutions in order to generate an appreciation of the work done; understand the needs of the stakeholders
• Readiness to conduct research and condense knowledge on relevant literature to map and direct the paths towards business solutions
• Potentially work with engineers and product owners to design the implementation that fit the identified solutions, deploy models, evaluate the model or solution performance, improve the work processes

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Data Analytics techniques (e.g. data collection, data wrangling, datacleaning, EDA, etc.)
• Proficiency in python and its Data Science, Machine Learning suite of libraries (e.g. Scikit Learn, Pandas, Matplotlib, etc.)
• Proficiency in SQL, and usage of different data platforms such as RDBMS, DataWarehouse and Data Lakes is a plus
• Proficiency in visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau is a plus
• Knowledge in usage of Deep Learning libraries (e.g. Tensorflow and Pytorch) is a plus
• Experience in working and coordinating remotely
• Strong problem solving and solutions engineering mindset
• Strong analytical and organizational skills 
• Preferably a degree in the related fields of Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science
• Experience with cloud platforms experience is a plus
• Experience with software version control technologies such as Git is a plus
