Global Data Management is one of the foundation topics of ‘making the difference’ to become one digital bank. Global Data Management is aiming to speed up good quality data delivery in a safe way, improve data literacy and simplify the data functions in the bank.

The key components for managing the financial household of the Global Data Function are:

  • Planning and forecasting of the financials
  • Report on the actuals against plan and against comparable time periods
  • Provide asked and own initiative advises.
  • Create and maintain Business cases in conjunction with Global CDO stakeholders.
  • Prepare financial reporting to MBB
  • Frequent reporting to MT CDO

The Finance Specialist acts as a trusted advisor in finance for management and others in the global data function and represents the data function towards central and local boards. He or she is able to easily connect with the various players in the field of financial reporting, planning and forecasting, and has the ability to adjust the sometimes difficult message to the various stakeholders to achieve understanding and buy in.

 Our new finance specialist:

  • Drives the Financial Dynamic Planning by coordinating, contributing and taking process responsibility for delivery according ING timelines and quality requirements.
  • Reports on the actual costs and charged amounts (to other entities like the countries, Wholesale and group functions) in close collaboration of the Controller in Finance COO
  • Is able to explain the financial developments, advice management on actions to be taken and builds a financial forecast.
  • Specifies in deep-dives specific topics with significant financial impact.
  • Supports the service manager on the financials of the charged services.
  • Builds bridges to other financial experts with the central group-functions and with the local data experts.
  • Create and maintain Business cases in conjunction with Global CDO stakeholders.
  • Report on the monthly sourcing process and determine and guard actions and impediments.
