Détails du poste

Are you excited about designing complex applications? Do you have affinity with Design Systems? The UX Design team at ING Wholesale Banking is looking for an intern who will help to bring our Design System to the next level and help work on our many other projects.

The team

The UX Design team is part of the Centre of Expertise UX Design & Content and is situated within the Tribe Digital at ING Wholesale Banking. The Tribe Digital has a clear objective: “We make banking digital and seamless for our customers and employees. We enable others to do the same via our digital channels."

Our UX Design team designs for the ingwb.com website, InsideBusiness Portal (our web banking platform), InsideBusiness Service (our employee facing service platform), a mobile app and many other specialized applications throughout the bank. Our customers are external and internal users and are spread over more than 35 countries who use our channels for daily banking, service, finding information and to buy our products.

Roles and responsibilities

In this internship, you will be part of the UX Design team. Working together with the other UX Designers, developers and business you will focus on bringing our Design System to the next level and help with other design projects. On top of our global ING Design System, we have a Wholesale Banking Design System. We want to further improve our components and patterns, it’s documentation and explore how we can improve in the area of enterprise UX.

Helping to work on actual projects will help you understand the use of our Design System and its challenges. And it will give you a good idea of the complexity of some of our many customer journeys!

How to succeed

We hire smart people like you for your potential. Our biggest expectation is that you’ll stay curious. Keep learning. Take on responsibility. In return, we’ll back you to develop into an even more awesome version of yourself.

We look for someone who is:

  • enrolled at a Dutch ‘HBO’ or University in the area of communication and multimedia design or similar studies.
  • excellent command of (written and verbal) English
  • proactive and outspoken
  • ready to learn a lot fast, by doing it on the job
  • a team player who can also work independently
  • not afraid to make mistakes (because that’s part of how you learn)
  • available for at least 4 days a week

Rewards and benefits

This is a great opportunity to train with highly skilled people who are experts in their field. You’ll do a lot and learn a lot – not only about your specialist area and the bank, but also about yourself and whether this type of environment is right for you.

You’ll also benefit from:

  • Internship allowance of 700 EUR based on a 36-hour work week
  • Your own work laptop
  • Hybrid working to blend home working for focus and office working for collaboration and co-creation
  • Personal growth and challenging work with endless possibilities
  • An informal working environment with innovative colleagues
