FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.

Role & Responsibilities

As Product Area Lead FMGT Front Office Services you will report hierarchically to the FMGT Pricing Tribe Lead and hold ultimate responsibility for your Product Area. The FMGT Pricing Tribe is part of the FMGT Cluster Tribe.

You will align Epics and programs towards FM Front Office objectives, collaborating with relevant Product Managers to steer the delivery. You share a responsibility to improve ING’s performance and identify opportunities to better serve our customers by:

  • Translating the business strategy into delivery and ensuring the right priorities.

  • Strengthening the “ING way of working” while safeguarding the Orange Code as a role model.

  • Managing dependencies and stimulating interaction between people, tribes, products, squads and chapters (within and outside your Product Area).

You will lead the Front Office Services Product Area across different countries, cultures, and time zones. You will assess the future direction, required capacity, and delivery of your business area towards FM/GT Cluster Tribe submission to the Quarterly Business Review process and support the business priority process.

Within FM/GT Tribe Pricing the areas are organised towards a differentiating client experience. As Product Area Lead, you will steer the Front Office Services Product Area towards providing high-quality pricing and risk services to Financial Markets and Group Treasury front office desks globally, supported by the unified Pricing platform, for an increasing scope of products which have been onboarded onto the ING Pricing Architecture (IPA), which offers intraday and real-time position management and model-based pre-deal pricing functionalities to the Front Office users, as well as risk figures, reports and tools for analysis in a unified Portal. You and your teams are the face and first points of contact for the Front Office users in Financial Markets and Group Treasury.

Your key responsibilities

  • Provide visionary leadership to the Front Office Services Product Area, setting clear objectives and aligning the team’s efforts with the overall business strategy.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders from FM Trading and Sales, and Group Treasury.

  • Deliver on the Financial Markets growth strategy through seamless onboarding of new products.

  • Drive innovation and further standardization within the Front Office Services Product Area, with other Tribes / Product Areas, and across FM Products.

  • Implement strategic-centric solutions to streamline processes and improve outcomes.

  • Lead, inspire, and develop cross-functional teams, ensuring effective collaboration and delivery of high-quality data and pricing services.

  • Empower teams to act autonomously while holding them accountable for their performance and grow the product development mindset.

  • Stay informed about developments within the Financial Markets and FinTech industry and incorporate relevant trends and innovations into the Front Office Services Product Area.

  • Develop and deliver on the application standardisation, consolidation and simplification strategy.

Furthermore, you have the following proven track records and technical skills:

  • Master’s degree level;

  • 5+ years’ proven track record at management level and solid experience with Financial Markets;

  • Experience/affinity with Wholesale Banking Tribes / Product Area(s);

  • Experience in a role closely interacting with Tech organizations;

  • Sound experience in building and realizing strategic roadmaps, guiding and realising change;

  • Expertise in driving and steering multidisciplinary teams (BusDevOps);

  • Proven experience in strategic projects with high impact.

  • Ability to understand the complexity of trading products and pricing models, the impact of new and existing regulations and the capability to translate this into a strong and scalable Front Office Services Product Area;

  • Interact closely with tech organizations, ensuring seamless collaboration and integration of technological solutions.
