After years of negative rates, the savings market is thriving again! Last year, households in the Dutch market saved a record 30 billion euros, and new challengers are entering the retail banking market. Our team of 25 colleagues, divided into four squads, is responsible for the savings proposition, product capabilities, IT development, marketing, and rates.

Every day, millions of customers are inquiring about their savings accounts and making millions of savings transactions. This is the core focus of squad Nakamoto. We aim to provide a seamless, frictionless experience for all these inquiries and transactions. The tribe

In our tribe Daily Banking & Mobile Led, we work towards becoming the best mobile-led bank on the continent. We are looking for an experienced product manager with strong IT affinity to help us realize this ambition for our saving products. Do you have concrete affinity with developing and optimizing products and processes? Are you full of breakthrough ideas on how we can develop our future savings proposition? Your team

Daily Banking & Mobile Led is one of the largest tribes within ING Retail. Together with about 60 agile teams (squads) in Amsterdam, Leeuwarden, and abroad, we work towards becoming the best mobile-led bank on the continent. The tribe entails the products and processes associated with current accounts, savings accounts, onboarding of customers, and billing. Hence, we are at the heart of the bank and provide for the daily financial needs of our customers!

This position is in the Product Savings domain in Amsterdam, which is responsible for all saving products like the Orange Savings Account, Savings Goals, and Fixed Term Deposits. The team is responsible for the proposition, product capabilities, IT development, marketing, and rates. Together with your colleague customer journey experts, product managers and IT engineers, you strive towards realizing the best customer experience for our customers and employees according to ING’s customer experience principles: personal, easy, and smart.

How to succeed

You are a team player, have proficient problem-solving ability, and can drive projects from concept to execution. As a Product Manager for Savings, you:

  • Organize daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and tasks for engineers.

  • Translate features into realizable roadmaps, taking MVP slicing and milestones into account.

  • Define project principles, requirements, and use process designs to visualize changes.

  • Coordinate development and deployment of integrated IT solutions.

  • Understand the need to comply with regulations and policies but dare to debate alternatives and challenge the status quo.

  • Drive to make things happen.

  • Based on experience, train/coach team members in project management, process analysis, and Business-to-IT delivery.

About you

You have:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree.

  • Around 5+ years of relevant work experience.

  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and professional attitude.

  • Strong analytical skills and you are client-oriented and a team player.

  • Solid numerical skills and pay attention to detail.

  • A curious mindset for the underlying application architecture, relevant IT landscape, and technologies.

  • Realization skills with the ability to take on a challenge and make it happen.

  • Solid communication and collaborative skills to interact with different stakeholders and team members.
