The team

The Area IT Ops Enablement is part of the Tribe Resilience, IT Risk & Security and responsible for delivering the Global ServiceNow services to the IT Community within ING. We have 6 squads responsible for the ServiceNow modules, like ITSM, ITOM, SPM, GRC and SecOps (and related infrastructure). We are globally staffed over The Netherlands, Poland, India and Philippines.

Roles and responsibilities

We are looking for a Chapter Lead who is an experienced ServiceNow Engineer with people management skills. As a Chapter Lead, you will dedicate 50% of your time to this engineering role within a squad. The remaining 50% will be focused on enhancing expertise within your chapter, mentoring chapter members, and collaborating with peers to tackle challenges and improve overall performance. You will also co-create the Area vision and ensure effective resource allocation for squads.

Your chapter consists of approximately 8–10 Engineers, who have the focus on automation, simplification and standardization.

You will become the Chapter Lead of the Engineers reporting in the Dutch organization.

  • Minimum 7 years of proven experience in ServiceNow development.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist ITSM/GRC.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with common web and platform technologies (XML, JavaScript, JSON, HTML, CSS etc).
  • Experience with CI/CD (Azure DevOps) and automatic testing (ATF).
  • Experience with Kafka Messaging.
  • Excellent team player in an international team, quality focused, service oriented, eager to learn.
  • You are able to discuss with your stakeholders and product owner about features and stories and can translate these into software with real business value.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • You are able to lead and inspire a group of senior engineers on subject matter.
  • Excellent oral and written English skills, Dutch is a pre.
