The Mission

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Software Engineer with an OPS-oriented mindset to join our team.

You’ll be joining Product Business Journeys, responsible for all processes related to the Business Current Account and accompanying Business Packages.

We design, build, and maintain the systems and services that enable our business clients to open, manage, and benefit from their financial products with ease and reliability.

Our focus is on delivering smooth, compliant, and resilient digital experiences that support our clients' financial journeys from start to finish.

In this role, you'll bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring smooth deployments, managing operational tasks, and maintaining the integrity and performance of our production systems.

You will play a critical role in maintaining compliance, managing vulnerabilities, and ensuring robust monitoring and alerting is in place.

Your day to day

  • Manage and execute production deployments with a focus on stability and minimal downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with IT risk policies and internal/external audit requirements.
  • Perform small-scale code changes in Java, including SDK upgrades and other Life Cycle Management (LCM) activities.
  • Analyze and remediate vulnerabilities identified in GSOC reports in collaboration with security and development teams.
  • Use and manage Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD and automation workflows.
  • Take ownership of incident management, including root cause analysis and post-mortem documentation.
  • Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting dashboards to ensure high availability and performance of services.

Our Tech Stack:

  • Languages: Kotlin & Java
  • Frameworks: Spring Boot
  • CI/CD: Azure DevOps
  • Platform: Container-based infrastructure
  • Orchestration: Kubernetes running on OpenShift

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Proven experience in a DevOps, SRE, or OPS-focused Software Engineering role.
  • Solid experience with Java and handling light development tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with security best practices and experience resolving vulnerabilities.
  • Knowledge of IT risk and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Elastic, Prometheus) and setting up actionable alerting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform well under pressure in incident response scenarios.

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to Kotlin and modern backend development practices
  • Experience with containerized environments, Kubernetes, and Helm
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams
