A day in the life of a Head of Comfin Structuring

- Lead an experienced team of 5 FTE, responsible for the origination, structuring and life-cycle management of ING Commercial Finance structured solutions supporting clients’ working capital financing.

- Manage mainly Belgian and pan-European multi‑currency global structured factoring solutions, focused on WB clients, with some BB large clients included.

- Actively contribute to the Comfin strategy and influence the organisation by improving ways of working, efficiency and collaboration.

- Play a key role within the Comfin Management Team and support cross‑team projects (new product development, annual audits, etc.).

- Provide technical support to team members in complex, high‑pressure situations within a competitive international environment.

- Meet clients across the ING network and maintain strong cooperation with WCS and the Trade Sales network.

How to succeed

Comfin is hiring a new leadership contributor for its Management Team, responsible for leading a skilled team of 5 FTE. Beyond managerial and emotional capabilities, we are looking for someone hands‑on, not afraid of dealing with technical structured‑finance matters, resilient under pressure and comfortable in an international context.

We are open to candidates without prior people‑management experience, as long as their mindset aligns with the Comfin spirit.

Key hard skills include:

- Background in structured finance or strong technical affinity.

- Strong analytical and data‑driven mindset.

- Excellent command of English, Dutch and French.

- Creative mindset with the ability to enhance processes and improve organisational efficiency.

The team

Within an asset‑backed finance environment, structural robustness and transaction quality are crucial to ensure full control over collateral.

Your team will:

- Ensure the quality and coordination of structured factoring transactions in close collaboration with international clients, law firms, auditors and other stakeholders.

- Advise the Comfin Origination team on their more complex deals.

- Act as the first line of defence against fraud.

In short: you will lead the entry point of all Comfin structured transactions and be a key contributor to Comfin’s growth.

Comfin (60 FTE) is part of ING Bank Belgium (via ING Lease), combining the strength and brand power of ING Bank with the agility and flexibility of a smaller entity.
